Never thought my life would be viewed between four corners,

With my head down, dreads hovering above the floor.

I lifted my head above water just enough to peak through a tiny window

This is the only time I get visit the world I’ve known

Now I spend my days on my back waiting for the next meal that comes through that steal door.

I have no recollection of time so don’t ask me what day it is,

My arms are constantly put on restrain so I don’t hurt myself or anyone,

Drained from desperation, I’ve talked to the ceiling,

This wasn’t the first time I didn’t get a response,

I thought maybe you would hear me screaming,
