21 Savage Tries To Squash Young Thug & Gunna’s Beef: “Ya’ll N— Fix That S—”

21 Savage is attempting to diffuse the tension in Atlanta’s rap scene, including squashing the feud between Young Thug and Gunna.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without some kind of truce. 21 Savage has arranged for Young Thug and Gunna to end their feud. Over the use of X, Savage outlined the spat that has captured the hip hop world for the past three years.

In eloquent prose, 21 showed that he wished for both rappers to “fix” their falling out. If the way they can connect in the studio can happen again, there’s room for a settlement of differences.

In the rap realm betrayals, fussiness, and squashed battles seems to be and has been the case. That’s the strange world of hip hop. One moment you’ve got a hit single, on tour, making money, enjoying women, and next you're embroiled in a feud with one of your ex-compatriots.

For 21 to seek peace during the season of peace and goodwill towards mankind, it is only fitting that he also dangle an olive branch in front of Quavo and Offset.

Their relationship is akin to Thugger and Gunna. They had once been on the same side and since the untimely demise of Takeoff.

It’s sad to see that 21 has to mediate these two instances of infighting. Salute to him, nonetheless for seeking to bring tranquility amongst these individuals.

Thugger and Gunna seem to be moving closer to an understanding since Young Thug erased any disses against Gunna in Lil’ Baby track.

In the case of Quavo and Offset it appears that the two men cannot find a way to pick up where they left off before Takeoff was gunned down in Texas.

To 21, he sees all of these figures as collaborators and wants to not only make money with them now but have long lasting relationships which will yield great dollars in the future.

If he can get to complete this work on rap relations, he might be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize. He wants to have unity unlike what happened when these men were just babies. Tupac and Biggie once found friendship in each other which dissolved and soured in a haik of gun shots.

What the young rapper is trying to do is create a universe where the scores can be settled without street action. When 21 dismissed the streets he was saying there’s no love there.

He’s reaching for a placement among other snitches saying it's more important to defeat the streets and talk. While Savage’s album didn’t perform as greatly nor did Thugger’s, the idea is to collect the talents and allow “Ratlanta” to truly shine.

If there is to be hip hop, it will not be street hop but something totally different. It will look like a gang of N— speaking on the traumas of street life and the struggle to escape from those tired tropes.

That’s what 21 wants. He recognizes that Quavo and Offset may still be harboring ill will towards each other based on their absence from collaborations together. It’s tough to cover such disunity but it’s at the same time refreshing because it’s true.

The phoniness has been extracted from the disruption. Though they hold their differences, it’s out of genuine concern for self. Though rarely championed, the rational self-interest of each man is on full display.

There’s a sense that even if the rappers never get together as one, we will see projects from them individually.

Of all this turmoil, there is a “F— the streets” movement that will push forward the agenda of free speech. As long as this right is in place, it is important to note people have survived other feuds like Jay-Z and Nas. Though there were no legal woes or deaths in relation to their falling out and eventual rising up, the time could come for all of them to set sail together on calmer sonic seas.
