My favorite punk bands part 2
Thank you for all the support on my original article

Once again I just want to thank everybody for all the love and support I received on part one. I'm genuinely surprised this article is even in the top 10 all time of my most viewed articles. But that should be something to smile, because punk is not dead. So here we are publishing part 2. Here are a few more of my favorite bands that you may or may not have heard about before.
Operation Ivy
Originally formed in California 1987. I absolutely love this band, they're the first bands to be labeled as Ska Punk for mixing elements of Ska and traditional punk. This means their songs are actually an absolute blast to dance to. Some of my favorite songs by them are "Healthy Body" and "Sound System". Listen to those songs and try to resist the urge to skank. If I had one complaint. I absolutely hate how little songs/albums they produced while they were active. Thankfully though, 20 years after their inception in 2007, they were able to remaster their original tracks.
Bad Religion
Credit where credit is due, I really don't know where my music taste would be if it wasn't for all the Tony Hawk games I played growing up. There are so many punk bands I wouldn't have discovered if it wasn't for Tony Hawk. Also hailing from California, formed in 1980 they are the 2nd oldest band on this list. Bad Religion is a perfect band for when you're in the mood to mosh. Now this band is another band whose tee shirts you should probably skip wearing to church. If the name doesn't give you enough as a hint as to why, I don't know what to tell you.
The Misfits
Let's be real, this was everyone's first punk band. How couldn't they have been? The Misfits formed in 1977, one of the longest tenured band on this list except for one other entry who is featured later on in this list. The Misfits are probably the single most recognizable punk band I've featured on this list. Everyone at one point in their life has seen. And you've probably heard of at least one of their songs without even knowing it. The end credits of the original Jackass movies features the song "Hybrid Moments" by the Misfits, and if I'm not mistaken this song was very prominently featured throughout the original run of Jackass when they were still on the air. Also I forget which beer commercial it was, but their song "Where Eagles Dare" was featured.
NOFX
How can you not appreciate a band that has a song called "The Idiots Are Taking Over"? Plus I mean the lead singer of the band, Michael John Burkett, literally calls himself "Fat Mike", so respect there. Funny enough they're also the 3rd band from California to make this list. I swear it was completely coincidental. Anyways thankfully NOFX is still active and have not taken a break since their inception. Also before I forget this band is the very first example of skate punk in my articles. Maybe I should bring up more skate punk bands next time.
The Adicts
Shockingly one of the only British punks bands I like. The Adicts were the 2nd band I was referring to that was formed in the 70's, 1977 as well. Also very similarly to Operation Ivy they're a blast to dance to. It's very strange to think though that a band whose looks were inspired by a clockwork orange's "droog" image can still be so upbeat and light-hearted. It also is strange that a punk band from the 70's nonetheless can be light-hearted, such a stark contrast from bands like "Fear" who were mentioned in my first article. But I guess that's what helped them stand out as well as be refreshing from everyone who was just angry all the time. I also guess that's why I appreciate their sound so much. My favorite song by them hands down is "Joker in the pack".
If these articles continue to get love, I'll keep cranking them out. I'm still very pleasantly surprised just how much love the first punk article got.
