Spooky Show

My online Gig will be taking place on the 30th of October at 7:45pm

It's my first attempt at an online show including several different artists. Not just local artists though; two from across the pond. So you could say this a truly global show.

Although I would say this is a 'Live show' I guess technically, it's not. As each artists performance is pre-recorded beforehand and then presented as a live show. You might think that's cheating a little but getting a whole roster of artists, at a specific time is a pretty hard task. Not to mention issues such as dodgy internet connection and global time differences. Using a little bit of editing and some trickery should hopefully keep it all running nicely. Don't worry though. I put a few mistakes in my own set to keep it that live feeling. A big part of this is to give artists deserved promotion, especially in these testing times. So here they are; the artists.

Emily Carr

Emily Carr is a singer song-writer based in Leeds, UK. Her delivery is sombre but very addictive. Her main goal is to make music that affects listeners in a way that she feels music has affected her. Emily wants you to listen to her music and make your own mind up.

ICRY

ICRY or otherwise know as her stage name 'Syrnixx' writes short, simple songs. That are more about emotion than anything else. Nothing fancy nothing complicated. More like poetry than music. She is working on some new material and has recently created a Facebook page.

Adam Helton

Adam Helton is an honest guy who makes honest music. It's what his father did and it's what he does. He just wants everyone to enjoy his music and who on earth can argue with that?

Dissenter

Dissenter promises to be ALT. You might recognize some of the tunes played but you will never have heard them like this. Dissenter is building there own library packed with emotive hits. In this show you'll get the best of both.

So there are all the artists. Ready to play for your enjoyment. The show is completely free on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/CharlieSmithMusic

If you enjoy the show and want to donate to an artist or myself then you can via the relevant links. It would really help them out however just checking out their music would be a great help too.

If you want to tip your gracious host my PayPal is: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/CharlieSmithMusicGB

It's been a pretty rough time for everyone at the moment and no less easy on the musical community. With venues shut and limited or in some cases no opportunities, to play music live. It has completely wiped out the revenue for musicians who rely on this income. For upcoming artists as well, it has been hard to reach an audience. Of course, there are online tools to utilize. However, sometimes you just can't beat playing in front of a captive audience. Not to mention the networking possibilities of meeting other artists. So as everyone is going online these days I thought I might as well join in and try to do something for myself and other artists.

So while we're all stuck at home let's enjoy what we can. Grab a drink and grab some snacks and get ready to enjoy. If you can't make it that's okay as it becomes a video of my Facebook after it has finished and also on Dissenter YouTube Channel.

Special thanks to everyone taking part, Couldn't have done it without you.
