“Sloop John B" is a song that was recorded by the American rock ban the Beach Boys. This is a Bahamian folk song from Nassau. Among the most popular versions is by the Beach Boys and produced and arranged by band member Brian Wilson. It is the second single released from their album Pet Sounds.
“Under the Sea” is the theme song from the 1989 Disney film “The Little Mermaid." The song was inspired by the Calypso style of the Caribbean islands Trinidad and Tobago. It was performed by Samuel E, Wright as Sebastian the crab. The song is a plea by the crab Sebastian imploring Ariel to remain sea-bound and resist her desire to become a human in order to spend her life with Prince Eric, with whom she has fallen in love.
