Women In Music Spotlight

When music meets authenticity, the results are undeniable. Enter SIMIEN, the powerhouse Urban Electro-Pop trio composed of sisters Taédym, Jaiden, and Kamrein, who are stepping boldly into the spotlight with their debut single "Utterly in Love." Released on Konvict Kulture label founded by global superstar Akon, the track is more than just a debut. It's a statement of truth, unity, and the kind of fearless creativity that only comes from sisterhood.

"Utterly in Love" might sound like a playful anthem at first listen, but it carries a deeper story. Inspired by a true "girl code" violation when the same boy attempted to flirt with two sisters. The song became a testament to knowing your worth and demanding respect. "Utterly in Love is about not settling for the bare minimum and knowing your worth," the sisters explain. "We wanted to write something our fans could feel and stand behind. Respect between people - and especially between sisters - is everything."

With harmonies that soar, a beat that nods to both electro-pop energy and R&B soul, and lyrics that act as an honest diary of youth, SIMIEN's debut embodies empowerment without ever losing its fun.

What makes SIMIEN so magnetic is the way their music is rooted in heritage. With Creole Louisiana and Native American lineage, the trio weaves culture and history into every performance. Gospel influences from church, lessons from mentors, and a family bond that can't be faked all converge in their sound.

Mentored by icons such as Teddy Riley, Debbie Allen, and Mama Jan Smith, the group's artistry is equal parts trained and intuitive. "Having three of us actually makes the creative process easier," they share with a laugh. "We vote on everything. Majority rules - two to one!" SIMIEN isn't new to Akon's world. Their voices appeared on his track "Never Really Mattered," and they were featured in the video. But stepping into Konvict Kulture as artists in their own right marks a pivotal moment.

So what's it really like working with one of music's most iconic hitmakers?

"Oh my gosh, so much fun. He's like family to us," says Jaiden. "He's such an icon."

Taédym adds, "He's definitely showed us a lot and taught us a lot. Every single time we've worked with him, he just allows us to be ourselves."

Kamrein closes with a smile: "Our workflow is very consistent and very fun."

That balance of family, freedom, and focus is exactly what makes SIMIEN stand out. Beyond the music, the personalities of Taédym, Jaiden, and Kamrein shape both the group dynamic and the stage presence that fans are falling in love with.

Jaiden: "I can be very hands-on, and it can come off as mean sometimes, but I'm just very passionate. On stage I'm strong and emotional, but off stage I'm actually very peaceful and quiet."

Taédym: "On stage, I might forget lyrics," she laughs. "But off stage, I'm like the mom. I make sure everything goes smoothly and that they're okay. I'm the protector."

Kamrein: "On stage, I'm all about confidence and making sure we're fierce. Off stage, I'm goofy, funny, and strong."

This blend of strength, vulnerability, humor, and passion creates a chemistry that's impossible to replicate.

What's Next for SIMIEN?

The sisters aren't slowing down. With "Utterly in Love" officially out, more singles are on the way - songs they say the SIMINATI (their growing fanbase) are already waiting for with anticipation.

"We've just dropped 'Utterly in Love,' and we're pushing that while also coming out with more singles we're super excited to share," says Taédym.

As for their musical inspirations, the answers are as eclectic as their sound: Lana Del Rey, Rihanna, Aaliyah, Kid Cudi, Celine Dion, and Diane Atwood all make the list. When asked what they hope to bring to the next generation, the sisters' answers echo the authenticity that defines their music.

"Be unapologetically yourself," says Kamrein. "You'll go through so much in this industry, but keep it real and keep your faith."

Jaiden adds, "Don't be discouraged by anybody's words. Just because they don't see it doesn't mean someone else won't."

And Taédym concludes: "Make sure your heart is really in it because it will be tested nonstop. This has to be a passion, something you want more than the people around you."

To their fans, the SIMINATI, the trio has one united message:

"We love you guys! Keep rocking with us - it's just the beginning."

With a debut that's equal parts bold, vulnerable, and fresh, SIMIEN isn't just dropping music - they're building a movement rooted in sisterhood, truth, and harmonies that refuse to be ignored.
