How can I become a masterful writer?

It starts with love. . .

Writing changes human consciousness

. . . . by forever changing the way we think and act.

NoiSe (2005): Anime Fantastic and Literacy

Tsutomu Nihei’s (1971- ), the creator of NoiSe, wrote a a prequel to the Blame series; in the book, Musubi Susono is searching for missing children in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world.

The book combines horror and cyberpunk and it is a detective novel much like the film “Blade Runner” and novel “Neuromancer.”

During her investigation, she learns more about Netsphere, the virtual controlling center of the world and mets Silicon Creature, cyborgs.

The world is a gothic dark world where the past has become the bleak future and the drawings are not your typical manga format.

The style is very impressionistic and gothic like that parallels the world within the story, and Musubi looks like a Joan of Arc figure and carries a sort electronic sword.

As she investigates the death of the children, she enters into a vast conspiracy to end humankind as we know it, and her partner is killed and her life is in question as she races to solve these murders and the bigger conspiracy: machine vs human.

But will she live to tell about her adventure?

This story would be developed more in the 10 episode Blame series.

Walter Ong’s “Second Orality” and Literacy

A new dawn is upon us., and writing no longer holds the power it once did , for even here on Medium, no one reads, they glance, and note it says minutes not pages.

We are in a period called “Second Orality,” where orality and literacy mix: film, radio, and television rule and medium is now here.

We can now add the Internet.

“Writing introduces division and alienation, but a higher unity as well. It intensifies the sense of self and fosters more consciousness between persons. Writing is consciousness-raising” Walter Ong’s “Literacy as Technology “ 178–179

Religious Revolutions Are Literacy Revolutions

Where would the major religions — Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism — be without writing?

Scientific Revolutions

Where would science be without ccientific experiments and discourse and writing?

Governmental Revolutions

How would governments function without writing:

America’s “Declaration of Independence.” “

First or Primary Orality:

Before the invention of alphabet and writing, human voice and memory ruled, for no one read the bible or Koran, for example the miracle of the Koran is that it was written by an amazing person could not read or write, . .

Plato feared this invention called writing. . .

He felt human memory would weaken, so ironically, we know about Plato because of his written dialogues, and the father of deconstructionism, Derrida would comment on this irony because we only know of Plato through his writing.

Orality was about preserving knowledge, rethinking our world, and maintaining traditions.

Thank you for reading this. . . Now Dance!!!

I studied religion, poetry, and rhetoric for 30 years and taught people how to write . .

If you want to improve, find your voice and speak out as you hear your voice. If it bores you, think how boring it to your reader.

Become Shakespeare, and entertain us!

He was the Disney of his day, the anime and manga of his day, the average people worshipped him, now you need a Phd to uncode his words because English is now a mixture of languages like French, Spanish, and German.
