Eclipsed Souls: A Tale of Twin Flames
Chapter 15 : Dayang Bunting Island, Langkawi

In search of a break from their demanding life, Arnaz and Saliza accepted Lila’s offer to visit Langkawi for the weekend. They hoped the island’s natural beauty would offer them the peace and clarity they needed.
Accompanied by Lila and her boyfriend, they boarded a flight bound for Langkawi, ready for an escape. Upon landing, the group was greeted by the warm island air and vibrant hues of Langkawi’s lush greenery. But the true magic of the trip awaited them off the coast.
From the harbor, they took a 15-minute boat ride toward the mystical Dayang Bunting Island, also known as Pregnant Maiden Island, a place shrouded in legend and known for its tranquility.
As the boat glided over the crystal clear waters, Lila took a seat beside Arnaz, her enthusiasm radiating in waves. She leaned in closer to him, filling the air with her chatty energy as if trying to bridge the gap his silence created. Her conversation bounced from topic to topic: spirituality, island legends, their careers, anything that might catch his attention.
“Arnaz, don’t you just feel the magic in the air?” Lila asked, eyes sparkling. “This island is practically buzzing with energy. I bet you, of all people, really get it, don’t you? I mean, being a pilot, you must have a unique connection with the skies.”
Arnaz smiled politely but kept his response minimal, sensing her subtle persistence. “Yeah, the skies are something, but it’s mostly just keeping the turbulence in check. Not so much magic.”
Lila giggled, not entirely catching the sarcastic undertone. “But still, the stars! I know you must feel something spiritual when you're up there. It’s like...you’re closer to the universe.”
Arnaz shrugged, his gaze turning toward the horizon, eyes narrowing slightly against the sun. “It’s more like a front-row seat to sunrises and engine noise,” he replied lightly.
Saliza, sitting in front of them, remained quietly observant. She trusted Arnaz to handle Lila’s obsession with a careful balance of sarcasm and politeness. There was no need to intervene, his subtle humor was enough to keep things from escalating. Still, she couldn’t deny the slight edge of amusement in her dark eyes, knowing Arnaz had mastered the art of deflection.
But as she watched them, Saliza couldn’t shake the discomfort brewing inside her. Lila’s constant fixation on Arnaz wasn’t just persistent, it felt desperate. She knew there was something deeper driving Lila’s behavior, something beyond mere attraction. Lila's smiles and light-heartedness masked a strange desperation, and Saliza felt the darker currents beneath her flirtations.
Lila, however, was unfazed. She pressed on, her voice bright and insistent. “Oh, but it must be so beautiful, being up there. The clouds, the sky, don’t you ever just...feel the energy?”
Arnaz flashed her a quick, wry smile. “The real beauty’s in a smooth landing.”
“Did you know,” she began, leaning a little too close, “that this island has a legend about granting fertility to women? Maybe we’ll all leave this trip with more than just memories, huh?”
Arnaz smirked, his golden brown eyes gleaming with mischief. “That’s interesting, Lila. But I’m fairly certain I’ll only leave here with memories, and maybe a souvenir or two, if I’m lucky,” he said, his voice tinged with polite sarcasm.
Saliza remained calm. She knew Arnaz well and trusted him to handle Lila’s advances without making a scene. He was, after all, a master of handling tricky situations with charm and wit. Still, Saliza felt the growing discomfort twist inside her, a protective instinct. Lila wasn’t backing down, and Saliza sensed there was something more driving her.
Unbothered, Lila pressed on. “It’s just that this place is supposed to be magical. I’ve always believed in things like that. Don’t you?”
Arnaz raised an eyebrow, his tone dry but playful. “Oh, absolutely. Nothing says magic like spending time with your boyfriend while obsessively chatting up someone else’s.” He shot her a look that was both challenging and dismissive, clearly letting her know she was overstepping her bounds.
Lila, realizing she wasn’t getting the reaction she wanted, pouted slightly but didn’t relent. She was driven by something she herself didn’t fully understand, a need to capture Arnaz’s attention in ways she couldn’t with anyone else. “You always know just what to say, Arnaz. It’s one of the things I’ve always liked about you.”
Arnaz glanced at Saliza, who gave him a reassuring smile. Turning back to Lila, he responded, “Glad you think so. It’s a gift. And, you know, one that’s reserved for very special people.” His words, though courteous, carried a subtle sting that made Lila hesitate for a moment.
The boat ride continued with Lila’s chatter filling the air, but her efforts were increasingly in vain. Arnaz remained distant, his attention shifting more and more toward Saliza. Lila’s boyfriend sat silently, oblivious to the tension.
As they approached the sacred Dayang Bunting Island, a soft mist cloaked the landscape, like a veil between two worlds. As they docked, the atmosphere felt charged with ancient energy, and Saliza felt a stirring within her, a sense of anticipation as if something far greater than a simple vacation awaited them here.
Lila, sensing her failure to engage Arnaz, shifted her focus to her boyfriend, suddenly feigning romantic gestures, wrapping her arms around him, and pretending to be affectionate. Yet, her gaze betrayed her true feelings as it lingered on Arnaz, her obsession far from quelled.
Arnaz, however, had long stopped paying attention to her. His focus had shifted entirely to Saliza as they both felt the power of the island. The whole group now headed to the mystical Dayang Bunting Lake, nestled within the heart of Pregnant Maiden Island. Legends say the lake holds magical properties, especially for those seeking clarity, fertility, or peace. Its ethereal beauty making it a sacred place where the veil between worlds feels impossibly thin.
With each step toward the Dayang Bunting Lake, their connection deepened. This place, shrouded in myth and magic, was stirring something within them both. Upon reaching the lake, surrounded by lush, emerald hills cradling its tranquil waters, the air grew still as if holding its breath.
For Arnaz and Saliza, this was no ordinary retreat. The mystical energy around them intensified, and as they stood by the water’s edge, they felt a shift, a profound spiritual presence enveloping them.
Suddenly, the landscape blurred before their eyes, and they found themselves in an ethereal realm where the boundaries between the physical and mystical dissolved. The air grew thick with an unearthly glow, and the stillness was palpable, as though time itself had slowed.
Colors swirled in the air, and the fabric of reality rippled with energy. Ethereal mists coiled and parted, revealing a figure of both light and shadow, a guide from beyond. This being spoke with a voice that resonated deeply within their souls.
“Welcome again to the realm where your true essences are revealed. Here, you will confront the core of your souls and the essence of your Twin Flame of Light and Darkness bond. Together, your union must balance these forces within yourselves and each other. This is your purpose.”
Arnaz and Saliza exchanged a knowing glance, the gravity of the encounter settling into their bones. They followed the figure to a series of shimmering mirrors, each reflecting more than just their physical selves.
Arnaz’s reflection shone with light, radiating his warmth, wisdom, and strength. But as he stared, he saw the burden of always being the light-bearer, the Prince of Light and Fire, the Morning Star. The light was not just a gift, it was a weight, requiring constant vigilance.
Saliza’s reflection, by contrast, was darkened, revealing her inner fears and insecurities. It was her shadow self, the Queen of Darkness, embodying the parts of her she often struggled to accept. Her doubts, her pain, and her fears, all laid bare before her. She knew that this was not malevolent, just the aspects of herself she had yet to embrace fully.
The reflections forced them to confront the truth, their journey wasn’t just about love or unity, but about balance. To be truly whole, they needed to integrate both light and dark within themselves. As Twin Flame, their bond demanded not just harmony between them but within their own souls.
In the ethereal realm, glimpses of their past, present, and future flashed before them. Moments of joy, struggle, and growth. They understood now that their Twin Flame bond was not merely romantic, it was a divine path of healing and integration.
As Arnaz and Saliza emerged from the ethereal realm, their feet once again touched the solid ground of Dayang Bunting Lake. The surface of the lake was still, the gentle ripples reflecting the serene twilight sky. The world around them seemed to hum with a renewed energy, the lake now feeling like a sacred reservoir of their newly discovered powers.
Lila, who had been observing from a distance with a mix of curiosity and frustration, approached the couple. Her previous enthusiasm had waned, replaced by a contemplative silence. Her gaze flickered between Arnaz and Saliza, noting the profound shift in their demeanor.
Arnaz, his eyes still reflecting the golden light of the experience, turned to Lila with a newfound calmness. “Thank you for suggesting this trip,” he said, his voice carrying a depth of gratitude. “It’s been more enlightening than we could have imagined.”
Lila’s expression softened, a trace of a smile playing on her lips. “I’m glad you think so,” she replied, though her eyes still lingered on Arnaz with a hint of longing. “This place has a way of revealing things we didn’t know we needed.”
Saliza, her dark aura now tinged with a subtle glow, stepped closer to Arnaz. Her empathy had been heightened, allowing her to sense Lila’s underlying feelings with clarity. “We’ve learned a lot about ourselves,” she said, her voice steady. “And about what truly matters to us.”
Lila nodded, though her gaze remained fixed on Arnaz. “Sometimes, it takes a place like this to make us see what’s really important.”
As the sun began to set, casting a golden hue over Dayang Bunting Lake, Arnaz, Saliza, Lila, and her boyfriend prepared to leave the sacred site. The mystical experience at the lake had left them all in a contemplative mood, and the serene atmosphere seemed to linger around them.
The group gathered their things and made their way back to the boat that would take them to the other side of the island. The boat ride was a calm and peaceful journey, with the gentle rocking of the vessel and the soft murmur of the water creating a soothing backdrop.
Lila, her earlier enthusiasm now tempered by the profound experience, sat quietly as they glided across the sea’s surface. Her earlier chatter had given way to a more subdued demeanor, and she cast occasional glances at Arnaz and Saliza, her thoughts clearly drifting as the island's energy still resonated within her.
Arnaz and Saliza sat close together, their hands entwined, exchanging smiles and soft words. The bond they had forged during their time at the lake felt stronger than ever, and they appreciated the opportunity to enjoy the island’s beauty together.
As the boat approached their designated Bed and Breakfast, the tranquil setting of the island gave way to the cozy, welcoming glow of the quaint establishment. The Bed and Breakfast was nestled amidst lush tropical gardens, its charm enhanced by the soft light of lanterns that dotted the path to the entrance.
Lila’s boyfriend guided them up the stone pathway, and the group entered the Bed and Breakfast, where the scent of a delicious dinner wafted through the air. The evening promised a relaxing conclusion to their day, with a meal prepared to highlight the island’s fresh, local ingredients.
They were greeted warmly by the hosts, who led them to an outdoor dining area overlooking the shimmering waters of the nearby lagoon. The table was set with care, featuring an array of island delicacies that promised to be both delightful and satisfying.
As they settled into their seats and enjoyed their meal, the conversations were more relaxed, filled with laughter and stories. The earlier tension seemed to melt away with each bite, and the tranquil setting of the Bed and Breakfast provided a perfect backdrop for a peaceful evening.
