Lonely Jake

A FNAF fanfic story

By JaxonPublished 2 months ago 3 min read

It was a fate worse than death. As lonely Freddy switched with the boy, he felt his body getting weaker and his health faltering. His new body started to shut down the longer he stood. Jack, the boy inside the lonely Freddy, looked at his body with content. That was his body that he spent 3 awful years battling cancer with and now, he had a new body and was now cancer free and he felt a lot better and happier. Jake saw as Freddy passed out on the floor from exhaustion. All Jake could do is watch and he felt happy that he wasn’t in his body anymore. No more tests, no more treatments, he was free.

Jake had woken up in his hospital bed with the same aching pain from yesterday, he hated the pain but today it was even worse. He saw Maggie sitting in a chair next to the bed holding a book in her hands. He loved Maggie like a mother and she was always taking care of him, he loved her for that. “Morning sleepyhead” Maggie said with the same bright smile to his face that always was the highlight of his day. “Hi Maggie, did dad come home yet?” Jake had a hopeful look on his face, his dad had been away in the Military for quite some time but had always said that he would come visit when he was finally discharged. “Not yet hon, but he did send you a card.” Maggie handed him a little envelope with bright paper and stickers covering it, it looked pretty from afar. Jake opened the envelope with hope that this was the letter from his dad, telling him that he was cleared to come home. Nope. It was another postcard giving him an update on himself like all the other ones. He loved his dad a lot but he didn’t want updates; he wanted his dad to come back home. Jake had a look of disappointment on his face, and Maggie noticed; “I know it’s not the letter you were hoping for bud…” Maggie had a sad frown on her face, she knew more than anyone that Jake wanted his dad home but she saw that same expression on his face every time a new letter came in. Jake pouted a little and looked out the window; he had longed to go outside like he used to but the doctor said that going outside in his condition could be fatal to him without his medical equipment, he hated that. He remembered the days his dad would take him to Freddy Fazbears and they would eat pizza and play arcade games all day. He missed that. He always hoped that his dad would surprise him one day so they could possibly go to Freddy’s one more time. Jake looked over to Maggie as she was straightening up the room a little; he wanted to ask but she always gave him the same answer, but he was determined to go to Freddy’s.

That evening, Jake was staring out into his window from his hospital bed, watching as the leaves fell on the grass. He missed when he could feel the breeze of the wind in his hair and smell the air of a fall day; but now, all he was smelling was the air in the hospital and he had all these treatments to go though. Fall was also a time when he and his dad would play outside in the leaves, but that all was a memory now. Jake looked back in his room, it was empty, Maggie had gone home for the day and it was mostly quiet. Jake hated being alone, it reminded him how he really was all alone and he would somehow die alone too. The thought scared him a lot, how he would somehow just go to sleep and never wake up. Jake snapped that thought out of his head, trying not to think about that right now but it seemed like he couldn’t shake it off the thought. He looked down at the sun setting, the sun hitting the line of the sky just right. He slowly started to drift off to sleep. Letting the weight of his eyes fall down.
