Dancing Butterflies
Europe Apollo butterflies have beautiful white bodies with eyespots on their wings.The forewings have a number of black eyespots and the hindwings are decorated with four attractive red eyespots. These butterflies can be found in France, Italy, and Spain. Apollo butterflies are among the most threatened species of butterflies in Europe.

We Take It For Granted: Our Soil
The question is: What can we do for our soil? And also: What can our soil do for us? It seems simple. Plant a seed. Watch things grow. Well, normally it is simple. I watched tomatoes, multiple berries, fruits, carrots, potatoes, peas, and herbs grow in my garden this year. It is a beautiful sight. It truly is. Nothing better than a freshly picked tomato. Juicy and fresh, a burst of flavor. On the other hand, some things I planted did not grow. It happens every year.

The Sounds On The Farm The weather is a funny thing. It could be nice, warm and beautiful, then cold and rainy. Nothing could prepare anyone for this storm. We woke up to rain falling. My husband and I got out of bed and went to feed the farm animals. The rain was so cold. After I got the eggs I cooked them. While preparing breakfast, my husband went to the barn to milk the cows, so that he would have milk for his coffee and cereal. We ate breakfast together and then relaxed. Suddenly, we heard a loud banging. We looked at each other.

In Defense of Spiders. Top Story - October 2021.
When I was a small child, my mother kept a grotesque collection of enormous spiders in jars lining a dusty shelf in our basement. I remember sneaking into this forgotten corner to peek at the sinister legs and bulbous bodies of these tiny monsters. This was consistent with my fascination at the time for all things macabre. The spider held the same power over me as witches, vampires and goblins. All of which equated to sleepless nights and unspeakable terror in my young mind.
