Before It's Too Late
The moment we realize the value of time may be too late. Seize the time enjoy the moment

When we are young, some wrongs seem right to us. Sometimes we can focus on the wrong things and sabotage our happiness. In this story, John followed his regrets and sought the right way.
As the plane took off, John felt his heart begin to beat faster. He had never been a big fan of flying, but this time it was different. This time he was flying to meet his son for the first time in almost 20 years. John abandoned his wife and son when his son was just a baby. He had never been a good father, and he knew that made it more painful. He was always more interested in his career than his family, maybe it was too late, but he realized that without family, a career doesn't matter. Now, as he approached retirement age, the pain was gripping him even more. He had been dealing with the stress that had grown inside him since he had started, and his shame and excitement were mixed. As the plane descended, John began to relax. He closed his eyes and tried to imagine what his son would look like now. He had seen the pictures, of course, but they were all one year old. He didn't know if he would be angry with his son for leaving, or even want to see him, but he knew he wouldn't find happiness if he couldn't face his fears. When the flight attendant arrived with drinks, John ordered a whiskey with ice. He sipped slowly, trying to calm his nerves. He had never been a drinker, but today was different. Today was a turning point for him.
As the flight progressed, John found himself lost in thought. He thought about how he had left him alone to raise his wife and sons. He dreamed of all the milestones, all the birthdays and graduations he missed. Now he was thinking how he could make up for it to his son and he was going crazy. Every minute of his flight, he dreamed of the life he had missed. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the plane began to descend. John's heart began to beat again as he realized that his moment of truth was near. As they walked through the airport, John's nerves were almost unbearable. He looked around for his son, wondering if he would recognize him. She had sent a recent photo of her son to her, but she knew she had gotten really old since they last saw each other. He suddenly saw her. His son stood by the door, looking as nervous as John. As they approached each other, John felt his eyes fill with tears. He couldn't believe that this moment had finally happened. He was experiencing all the emotions of happiness, stress, fear, anxiety at the same time.
As they hugged, John felt a weight lift from his shoulders. He knew he had a lot of work to do to make amends with his son, but he was ready to do whatever it took. They left the airport together, ready to turn a new page in their lives. Even though he was aware that he was missing a great past, he knew that he was in control of fixing his future.
Every person has a small or big wish or regret in this life, but how can we relax by avoiding them? It is actually so easy to learn to take responsibility and take steps for our own happiness. All we have to do is not to ignore it, it can always feel that there is new hope.
