"Dancing on the Piano"

Listening to our boss reading the end report wishing this work day would be over, looking outside as the sun goes down into night fall, all I can think about is going home, take a shower and sip on a glass of Merlot. Finally 6:00 pm has come and I can go home to relax and have a good weekend living the single life.

Waiting for the elevator, Ken (coworker) asked" Hey Jasmine we are all going to the Hampshire Jazz club," Do you want to come it is Friday Night!" "Of course ", Why not even though I wanted to go home and be lonely, what harm would it do. Hampshire Jazz club is known for great jazz piano playing music for the lonely as they say. Sitting down at the table the first thing I wanted was a tall glass of Merlot and hot wings. Music playing, laughing and talking with coworkers I felt someone starring at me as I turned and looked around it was the piano player who had a beautiful smile and a handsome face that made me forget where I was.

Starring at him as he was me, I had to get another glass of Merlot and two or more within an hour, feeling good, it was time to stop playing kissy face be brave and walk over and introduce myself but he approached me and took my hand and introduced himself to me. "Hi my name is Michael " staring at him I forgot my own name, He said I have a special song I want to play for you if you would give me this chance to dance with you. We danced most of the night Michael responded " Merlot is my favorite wine and I see you are a Merlot woman to." Lets take our wine to the piano because the night is young and love is in the air. Smiling hard and sipping on Merlot, the club was fading down people were leaving my focus was on Michael.

Still enjoying the night, Michael still playing the piano he stared at me with a glass of Merlot in his hand, He said to me " Jasmine love yourself If only for one night and I will love you forever". I asked him what does that mean? When a woman drinks Merlot wine she is a special kind with a special taste for love. Lets dance on the piano because Merlot has brought us together to spend the rest of our lives together as one" Drink Merlot with me, " We drank Merlot the rest of the night, a year later I became Mrs. Michael Carlyle who became a world renown pianist in the world. Years later Michael and I returned to the Hampshire Jazz club where we met. It had been closed for ten years, As we entered the old club the strangest thing happened, there was a unique bottle sitting on table and two champagne glasses sitting on the piano we looked at each other remembering where we met. We began to talk about old times and the night we met when the Landlord who was the club owner's grandfather said " I remember you both" starring at him we could not remember who he was. He told us I am Sam Hampshire, Me and my grandson Kyle use to own the Jazz club I was the one who brought you the Merlot wine while you were dancing on the piano I could not help but stare at you all because you both made a beautiful couple" After you all had left I prayed that the two of you would unite as one and dream came true. I hoped one day that you would come back to this old club. I saved those two wine glasses for you I never moved them it was very hard but special time for me because it would be the last time the Hampshire Jazz Club would be open." I never thought the club was special until I saw the two of you together" I knew then the club did something great". Michael and Jasmine thank you for making my last night at the club a special night with a glass of Merlot. People came to the club but they would order hard liquor like Hennesy, Beer, Sigrams gin and much more. Who ever thought that Merlot wine had a special kind of taste for love.
