A Less-Known but Beautiful Incident

A hideous but great story

By Mudasir Hakeemi Published about 4 hours ago 1 min read

In Madinah, there was a young servant who used to assist the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

g. Like any

young person, he sometimes made mistakes. Yet no one treated him with as much gentleness and kindness as the Prophet did.

One day, the Prophet t sent him on an errand. On

his way, the boy saw other children playing and stopped to join them. He became so absorbed in the game that he completely forgot the task he had been given.

After waiting for some time, the Prophet a went out himself to look for him. When he found the boy, he was still playing. The Prophet te quietly approached him from behind and gently placed his hand on his shoulder. When the boy turned around, he saw the Prophet smiling.

In a worried voice, he said, "O Messenger of Allah, forgive me..."

But the Prophet dys

simply smiled and said sottly:

I "Did you not go?"

The boy later said:

"By Allah, I served the Messenger of Allah for ten years, and he never once said to me, 'Why did you do this?' or "Why did you not do that?'"'

The Beautiful Lesson

• He (PBUH) honored and respected even those who served him.

• He corrected mistakes with a smile, not with anger.

• True leadership is winning hearts, not controlling people.
