Alexandra and Andrea were twin cousins and one day they were visiting their grandma's house in a very small town by the name of

Brambleton. One morning in this very small-town Alexandra and Andrea decided to take a walk to town. Just to see what the town offered. They both started out the door at grandma's house and headed down

Chestnut Lane their grandma's road. It's not a very long road for only a mile to get to town. When they arrived on the outskirts of the Brambleton they could see the whole town. "Wow, this is a very small town isn't it, Andrea." "Sure is." Brambleton is a small town of just about maybe four to six blocks.

Deciding which and what to do first they headed down the main drag. They saw the gas station next to the police station that also held the post office. Next, as they continued walking down the street, they were noticing that besides major common businesses like a grocery store and a small hospital and school in the center of town there were some novelty shops down the side streets.

Excitement mounted for Alexandra for she found a small bookstore and Andrea continued down that road and found a craft and candle store. They split up and one to the bookstore and the other to craft and candle store.

Forging ahead in their journey of Brambleton Alexandra entered the bookstore and Andrea went into the craft and candle store to see what they offered and,

going forward into each different world Alexandra entered the world of books and noticed that the inside was like a library of sorts and an old one-room schoolhouse. There were even some old school desks and a blackboard and bulletin board on the one wall. Andrea seeing Alexandra through the bookstore window seeing her wander around she decided to go on and check the craft and candle store. She loves making crafts and smelling all the different scents they made and wondering what kind of projects this little store can offer. When the store clerks, who also were the owners came over to each of them offering

help in their search for their favorite books and crafts. Alexandra admitted she could get lost here even in this small store for it looks like you cover a lot of different genres of books. The same went for Andrea for she didn't think they would offer so many different kinds of crafts or candles. Both owners shared their

inflections on why they offered so many varieties of books and crafts/candles for they suppose for when the late cold winds of autumn and the winter snows fall there is not really much to do in Brambleton but read and make things.

Judging from how much merchandise these two shops sold said a lot for the town. This is one creative town we're visiting.

Knowing that we have our grandparents here is great. If we could only live here year-round. Do you our parents would think it a good idea?

Love those ideas. We could ask our parents, but to be realistic even at our ages would they really go for it. They have their jobs and a nice place to live, but I feel that Brambleton is a great, great place to visit when one just wants a place to rest, but maybe that is being too mature for a kid my age.

Maybe one day we when we grow up, we could move here and start again like after college. I think I would like to open or even take over the bookshop and if you were interested you could take over the craft and candle shop and even teach the crafts and candle making. We are getting to be at the age when we need to start thinking future wise.

Not so fast let's finish high school first we are only freshman, and we will probably change our ideas over those years to come. Yeah, you're probably right.

Oh, we better get a move on and get back to grandmas to help her someway.

Perhaps she could tell us more about Brambleton.

Quickly they rushed back.

Running down the road, they saw a path and they wondered where it went.

Suddenly, their curiosity took over and they followed the path.

Taking the path, they passed a brook the was so babbling along and they followed it for the path was now beside it for they were at the bend of this small brook. Continuing to go down the path all the little creatures seemed to be chatting away all of the sudden. They thought that something exciting was about to happen.

Understanding animals really was not Alexandra's and Andrea's forte if they may use that term, but the animals were rather noisy from the birds in the trees to the squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits and more were as mentioned skittering and chatting on an on. The girls just stood there and listened.

Volume of the noises increased as they continued down the path, and as they reached the end of the path there was a very small cottage that would make a very special place to come and just think. They both

wondered who could have built such a little place. All of a sudden, they kind of remembered a story Grandma told them. They knew that it was getting to be very late and they needed to start heading back and they were so

eXcited to share what they found on their tour of Brambleton. They took a few minutes to look around the inside of the little house for it was only one room and a small fireplace and a few sticks of old furniture They wanted to share all the details of what they discovered.

Your trip to town must have been great fun for you girls were gone for hours. Did you find things to do that interested you? They both shared their trip to town and their trip down the old path to the little house by the brook. They shared all their ideas that one day they may come back to Brambleton and maybe settle down to live and work here, and after a hearty and comforting dinner and a story from grandma they both headed off to bed and had the best dreams they ever had.

What a cute story. And it reminded me that I got a candle making kit for Christmas that I haven’t used yet. Brambleton seems like a nice place to visit.
