“I’m not you and I’m sure as hell not the stupid blonde rich bitches at this school.” -Angelica to Gotham academy’s principal Hatzilakos

It was the start of Angel’s Senior year of high-school she knew her mother wasn’t happy with her because she had chosen that she didn’t want to be on the cheer team for her final year of Gotham Academy it wasn’t that she wasn’t proud of Angelica she just wanted her to have more of a life outside of the Falcone family. Angelica’s whole life since she was fifteen was hanging out with Mario and his bestfriend Victor and Louisa was scared that it would take bad toll on Angelica’s life

Angel knew when she woke up that she was already regretting it. She rolled over in bed looking at the clock to see it was only five in the morning so she texted Mario who recently moved out into his own apartment with victor before laying in bed to hear some sort of life form in her house but she didn’t she stretched getting out of bed she opened her bedroom door which is when she heard the music from downstairs. new york, new york by Frank Sinatra it could only mean one thing, her father was home alone or it was just the guards and father home her anxiety eased up knowing it was probably just her father she went down stairs seeing her father making huevos rancheros she smiled taking a seat at the breakfast bar of their house she was greeted by her father kissing her head not saying anything as he went back to his breakfast she was soon given a plate of huevos rancheros by her father she moved the food around with her fork before looking up at her father. “So how mad is she.” They both knew who she was asking about…her mother.

Carmine sighed before taking a seat by his daughter he wanted to lie but he could never lie to Angel she always saw right through his lies so he could only tell her the truth even tho he knew it would hurt her. He placed a hand on hers “She isn’t mad, Princess. She just feels like you spend to much time in the life I created she doesn’t want this for you. Hell she doesn’t want this for Mario.”

Angel nodded before she took a bite of food before turning to her father. “But what if the life you created is what’s right for me? I been thinking a lot and not every little girl wants to be a hero or a cheerleader papa! not everyone is cut out to he the hero! Some of us aren’t good! Some of us are filled with darkness! Not everyone is a good person like mommy is.”

Carmine could hear the pain in his daughters voice as she spoke about her mother and the life he created he pulled his youngest child close kissing her head. “Baby, I know it’s hard right now but you’ll figure it out just remember what I said..your mother and I love you.”

Angel leaned against her father for a moment before pulling away going back to eating she nodded at the last words her father said. “I know papa, I love you both.” Angel watched as her father washed his plate and said his goodbye to her before he left to go pay a visit to fish mooney. Angel knew she would be driving herself to school since Mario and Victor had attended a party in the next city over that neither of them would feel up to taking her so she finished her breakfast before heading upstairs to take a shower she moved her CD player into the bathroom before putting in her shower mixtape cd it started with obsesión by Frankie J and baby bash. She stood under the water for a few minutes trying to relax but her mind betrayed her and went back to her telling her mother she didn’t want to continue being a cheerleader seeing the pain in her mothers eyes and how her mother knew she was slowly losing Angelica to the crime life style it had crushed her. she was almost in tears when she heard the front door downstairs slam she finished her shower before getting out she wrapped a towel around her, There was a part of her hoping it was her brother Mario or that her father had forgotten something but she knew she would have to see her mother soon anyway so she would rather get it over with.

Angel did her hair and makeup before getting dress in a stone cold Austin t-shirt and a pair of Black ripped Jeans she unplugged the CD player and placed it back into her before she took a deep breath opening her door she could hear both her mother and aunt she mumbled under her breath “shit, it had to be the both of them.” Angel rolled her eyes before shutting her bedroom door heading downstairs she saw her mother and her aunt Lori going through the clothes they had bought for Lori’s son Michael who wasn’t even six yet and his younger brother Angelo who was four. When angel walked downstairs she tried to go straight to the kitchen but Louisa had caught a glimpse of her daughter out of the side of her eye Louisa sat down the t-shirt she had bought for Angelo, a part of Louisa was scared because her and Angelica had never truly had a disagreement before. Angelica was the heart and soul of Louisa life and she saw how ashamed and scared Angelica look and she couldn’t handle it. “Angelica, you look beautiful.”

A small smiled spread across Angelica face as she turned to her mother. “Thank you mother, I was just getting ready to leave.”

Louisa nodded at her daughter as she stood up crossing her arms walking closer to angel. “I know you’re still against joining the team this year but your principal gave me a sign up paper just incase..I know you’re dealing with things since this is your final year but please remember. People like us aren’t cut out for your fathers business.”

Angel took a deep breath in trying not to snap at her mother as she calmly spoke. “I don’t see how cheering has anything to do with daddy’s business! Cheering won’t make me a better person! I’m a Falcone! Okay everyone at that school knows it! “

Louisa couldn’t understand why her daughter thought so low of herself, she knew Angelica was caring and loving and just wanted to help everybody but she also knew outside voices sometimes were louder then your own. Louisa stroke Angelica’s cheek. “You can fool them and maybe even your father but baby girl, I know how special and kind you are.”

Angel nodded as she pulled her back from her mothers she looked past her mother to the window behind her as she saw the gardeners working on the roses outside . “I’m not you tho..I’m not the perfect Louisa Falcone. I’m not everything you wanted mama…I’m not the cheerleader Queen B socialite. I’m just Angelica Falcone, I’m the daughter of Carmine Falcone and the next Heir to the Falcone Family business and nothing will change that .” angel looked to her mother before she kept speaking “I’m sorry I failed you but everyone in this town and at that school is right momma, I’m nothing but a dirty scumbag criminal. “ Louisa knew exactly where her daughters change had came from once those words left her mouth she saw the pain in Angelica’s eyes she kissed her daughters head. Angel hugged her mother briefly before grabbing her backpack and heading out to her range rover she climbed in throwing her backpack in the backseat she had left the house early enough to stop by Tim Hortons. After picking up Tim Hortons she headed to school dreading the first day back she found herself a parking spot she spent a few minutes leaning against her seat before grabbing her backpack hopping out of her car she waved to a few of the other girls who had walked by that weren’t to bad before throwing her back pack over her shoulder and heading in, once inside she picked up her schedule leaving the office as quickly as possible but it wasn’t quick enough before the principal had seen her and requested her to come speak to her in her office. Once Angelica was in there she smiled at the principal. “Is something wrong Mrs. Hatzilakos?” Angelica asked she saw Hatzilakos nod before crossing her arms. “Your mother spoke to me earlier, telling me you won’t be on the cheer team this year and I just wanted to know why. The cheer team is about the only thing you brought to this school rather then a bad rep for us allowing you in.” Angelica nodded trying to stop from laughing as she rolled her eyes looking up at the principal of the school. “Mrs. Hatzilakos with all due respect? I am the reason that your precious little cheer team was able to go to any of the events they did! Because my father gave this school the money. So please do not act like you or this school did me any favours! When we both know my father? And my mother? Have done more for this school then any parent because those little car washes you have don’t make any money when nobody wants to hear a preppy little bitch whine about washing cars. So please shut up.”

Hatzilakos Sat there in shock never being spoken to before by a student this way she leaned forward closing a bit more of the gap between the two. “Angelica we are very thankful for your parents being so willing to help the school but students need to carry themselves as well and I don’t feel like you’re doing that.”

angelica rolled her eyes before standing up. “I’m sorry to tell you, I’m not you or these stupid little blonde rich bitches at this school! I’m a Falcone! I don’t need this school. Your school needs me now if you don’t mind I need to get to math.”

angelica walked out of the principals office texting her father and mother about what happened before heading to math class. Angelica knew this would only be a start to everyone seeing just how much of a Falcone she truly was.
