Boris the Bull

N1

By James GreenPublished 3 years ago 4 min read

Boris the bull had always been a bit of an oddball, even among his fellow animals on the farm. While the other cows contentedly grazed in the fields, Boris could often be found daydreaming on a hillock, gazing up at the sky and wondering what it would be like to fly.

He had always been fascinated by the birds, with their graceful movements and seemingly effortless ability to soar through the air. Boris had always secretly envied them, longing to feel the wind rushing through his fur and to experience the freedom of flight.

One day, he decided he couldn't take it any longer. He had to know what it felt like to soar through the clouds like a bird. So, he made his way to the highest point in the village, a grassy hill that overlooked the rolling countryside.

Taking a deep breath, Boris closed his eyes and took the leap. He spread his arms wide and began flapping them wildly, hoping that somehow, some way, he would manage to take flight.

To his surprise, he didn't plummet to the ground as he had expected. Instead, he felt himself being lifted up, carried aloft by a pair of giant, invisible wings. The wind rushed through his fur and the world below him seemed to stretch and twist, becoming more and more surreal with every passing moment.

Boris flew for what felt like hours, revelling in the freedom and exhilaration of flight. He soared over fields and forests, mountains and valleys, seeing sights he had never dreamed of before.

As the sun began to set, Boris found himself approaching a strange and fantastical land, a place unlike any he had ever seen. The trees here were made of candy, their branches dripping with sugary treats. The grass was as soft as cotton candy, and the air was filled with the aroma of freshly baked pastries.

Boris couldn't believe his eyes as he flew over this magical kingdom. He had always known that life was full of surprises, but he had never expected it to be this surreal.

As he explored this strange new world, Boris encountered all sorts of bizarre and comical characters. There was a talking animal who claimed to be the reincarnation of a famous Russian novelist, and a peculiar old man who seemed to possess the power of prophecy.

One of the strangest sights of all was a group of talking teapots, who invited Boris to join them for a tea party. The teapots chattered away as they poured cups of steaming hot tea, regaling Boris with tales of their adventures in this magical land.

Boris was fascinated by all the strange and wonderful things he saw and heard, and he couldn't wait to see what other surprises this surreal world had in store for him.

As the days passed, Boris encountered all sorts of wondrous and absurd sights. He met a group of mischievous fairies who delighted in causing chaos wherever they went, and a tribe of friendly trolls who lived in a lush, verdant forest.

He even stumbled upon a hidden castle, guarded by a fierce dragon who breathed fire and hoarded a vast treasure of glittering jewels and golden coins. Boris was afraid at first, but the dragon turned out to be quite friendly once he got to know him, and he shared his treasure with Boris generously.

As he travelled further and further into this magical realm, Boris began to feel as though he had stumbled upon a true paradise. He had never felt so free or so alive, and he was grateful for the chance to experience such a wondrous and surreal world.

But eventually, it was time for Boris to return home. With a heavy heart, he bid farewell to his new friends and set off on the journey back to the real world. As he flew over the rolling hills and fields of the countryside, he couldn't help but feel a newfound appreciation for the wonders of the world. He had always known that life was full of surprises, but he had never expected it to be this surreal.

As he approached the village, Boris couldn't wait to share his adventures with his fellow animals on the farm. He knew they would never believe the stories he had to tell, but he didn't care. He had experienced something truly special, and he wanted to share it with everyone he knew.

But as he landed back on the grassy hillock where he had first taken flight, he was met with a shocking sight. The village was gone, replaced by a vast metropolis full of towering skyscrapers and bustling streets.

Boris was dumbfounded. How could the village have changed so much in just a few short days? As he tried to make sense of it all, he was approached by a group of humans, who seemed to be just as surprised to see him as he was to see them.

As it turned out, Boris had been gone for much longer than he thought. His adventure in the surreal world had lasted for months, and the village he had known and loved had been transformed beyond recognition in his absence.

Feeling disoriented and out of place, Boris decided it was time to move on. He bid farewell to the humans and set off to explore this new world, filled with endless possibilities and endless wonders.

As he wandered the streets of the city, he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and adventure. He knew that no matter where his journey took him, he would always cherish the memories of his surreal adventure in the magical land.
