A figure skater reminds some and reveals to others her true color.

She skated with the sheer brilliance that made her competitors either jeer or cheer depending on their mood. As one of the few black figure skaters, she showed her skills and not her skin color.

In fact she wore a full body suit that covered all of her skin. It wasn’t out of embarrassment or denial, but that she elevated above the sport. The gold medals were in her mind platinum and diamonds.

She kept her composure and self-respect when people went up to her with their angry words.

She continued on when people gasped as she displayed her skin.
