In a lush jungle, lived a cheerful monkey named Milo. His best friend was a worn-out, orange monkey toy named "Buddy." They were inseparable, sharing adventures big and small.
One sunny morning, Milo and Buddy decided to explore a hidden part of the jungle. Milo carried Buddy on his back, swinging from vine to vine, his bright eyes scanning the vibrant foliage. They discovered a sparkling waterfall, its waters shimmering under the sun. Milo carefully placed Buddy on a smooth rock, and they watched the colorful fish swim by.
As th day progressed, they stumbled upon an ancient, gnarled tree with a cozy hollow inside. "This would be a perfect home for us, Buddy!" Milo chattered, imagining all the games they could play there. They spent the afternoon decorating their new "home" with bright flowers and shiny pebbles.
As dusk settled, painting the sky with hues of orange and purple, Milo and Buddy snuggled together in their tree hollow, content and happy. Milo whispered, "Every day is an adventure with you, Buddy." And Buddy, though just a toy, seemed to smile back, promising many more magical days in their beautiful jungle home.

There's A Hole in My Bucket
It’s a well-known fact that Liza Dufresne was always the brains in the family. She was the one who always came up with the brilliant schemes the Dufresne kids carried out when they were younger. Like when they tricked Mrs. Claybourn into paying for a trip to Disney World. Liza convinced her that their parents had been kidnapped and were being held for ransom for the total price of three tickets. In reality, they were away on a weekend getaway for their anniversary. When they returned, Liza told the Claybourns that they did not like to talk about the ordeal. Their parents never found out how they got the money. Mrs. Claybourn never found out that the Dufresne parents were never really in any danger.

It's A Work Day!
Yes, it is an anonymous time, as names and faces cannot be shown. I can't share too much, anything that may identify anyone, except me. It is nanaboozhoo story time today. Then again, it may not be as there is not much snow on the ground on this day. Tomorrow will be different; we could have a fresh 7 or 8 inches of snow. After reading about 103 weather in other parts of the world, where they have summer now, I don't mind our weather. So what story will I tell if I need snow on the ground to tell a nanaboozhoo story? How about this one? Several years ago now, I was at a Tiospye (extended family or community group in the Dakota language), and an elder Lakota woman was telling this story, and her granddaughter was interpreting in English. Iktomi is a spider and a trickster. There were probably 15 to 20 people listening to the story. I've told this story over the years and have had some interesting comments.
