You wake up the day before your 18th birthday feeling different. You have heard stories all your life that you are different. The story you always heard was that on your 18th birthday your special ability would be revealed.
On your 18th birthday you receive a letter and a small package. You open the package first. It is a small medallion with a strange language written on it. Next you open the letter that will change your life forever. The letter explains what your ability is and how you received them.
A long time ago one of your relatives went to a witch doctor to try and save a loved one. The witch doctor gave them the ability to save them and other people. They said this will pass to your furniture generations.
The specifics are that you can reverse time to before the person got injured. The other part is for people that have a disease or chronic illness. You can save them, but you will have to sacrifice yourself. You only have a limited number of saves and only one save for disease of course.
You decide to use your powers for good. You want to save as many people as you can before you use your sacrifice.
The government is taking notice of all your saves and decide they want you for themselves. Before they can capture you, you sacrifice yourself to save a good person that you know will do something amazing with their life.

Stepping out of your townhome you’re hit by the cold first. You were expecting it. Laid out your heaviest coat the night before. But the way that first breath crystalizes in your lungs feels like a kick to the chest no matter how prepared you were. You pull your coat tighter and try not to slip on the thin skin of ice that glazed your street overnight.
