The End Of Time

A Temporal Drabble

By Mike Singleton 💜 Mikeydred Published 8 months ago 1 min read
A Nightcafe Creation By The Author

This is the end, the finality, standing on this pillar, with nowhere to go and no memory of how you found yourself in this place. Every other pillar is empty; you are alone, with only yourself for guidance.

You look down and there is nothing, just an erasure, which promises nothing. It may be a way to heaven or hell, but it is likely to be an everlasting fall if you were to step over the edge.

You know you cannot stay here forever, unless this is a dream, it might be, but you cannot wait until you wake up.

What a drabble that will have a lot wondering about what to do.

...or perhaps a monument to selfishness? To pride? To needing no one? To no one's fool? Great work.
