Prologue: Long ago, there were three guardians who had control over the whole world. FireFox the guardian of all Forests, RockyLion the guardian of all plains, and Waterwolf, the guardian of all waters. The world was good. The Guardians were mighty and kind to every living creature for centuries, but one day an evil entity came upon the earth. It was strong and casted a horrendous spell over the three guardians which turned them to stone. The world became a dark void. Life was stripped away from all they had known. All through the world, the creatures had mourned the loss of their faithful Guardians, groans of sorrow were heard night and day. Although the world was caught in misery, an unknown hero had already arrived to save the kingdoms. For WaterWolf had born a child and named him Frost, it was all up to him to save the world and bring back the Guardians.

Years had passed, but the world was still in a dark gloom.

“Come on frost, let’s go explore!” Daisy the badger squeaked.

“I’m coming, I’m coming.” Frost groaned, as he walked over to Daisy .

“Where should we go today?” Daisy said, swaying her small tail .

“How about deeper into the forest?” Frost Suggested.

“Ok!” Daisy said, running towards the entrance of their den.

As they got deeper into the forest, they felt cold air come across their fur. They looked at each other and moved the vines to see what was there. All they felt was a bitter cold air then snowflakes began to fall lightly on their fur. In the middle of the snowy place was a huge lake that was frozen.

“Wait… it’s the middle of summer, but it’s snowing in one spot of the forest…” Daisy said, while peering around.

“What is that over there?” He looked in the direction of what looked like stone. They ran over to see what it was and it turned out to be a wolf with wings covering a frozen nest.

“What do you think was in the nest?” Daisy asked, looking at frost .

“I don’t know, but it looks like it was something she cared about, I can see stone tears…” Frost said, glancing at Daisy.

Frost couldn’t help but feel symphony for this unknown wolf. He sat down, putting a paw on the wolf's wing.

“She was protecting something, something special…” Frost blurted out

“We should head back, can we come back tomorrow?” Daisy said, motioning in the direction they had entered.

They headed back to the den without talking. suddenly they smelt food!

“Your mom must have got some prey!” Frost said, walking into the den.

After eating they put the bones in the forest and fell into a deep sleep.

Early the next morning Frost woke before dawn.

“Daisy, let’s go back to the forest.” Frost wipers, still half asleep.

They crept out of the den, trying not to wake the others. Once outside, they ran deep into the forest.

“We’re already here!” Daisy Chirped, “that was fast!”

“Yeah…” exclaimed Frost.

They went up to the stone wolf and looked for anything they may have missed. Finding that they had run out of clues, they sat facing the stone wolf, wondering how she had turned to stone.

“Well well well, what do we have here…” a wise badger said, surprising the two friends.

They quickly turned around to see a huge badger facing them.

“I’m s-sorry if we’re in your Territory…” Daisy stuttered.

“This is not my territory nor anyone else's. I am not a threat, I don’t eat other badgers and definitely not a child of the Water Guardian.” The wise badger said, looking at Frost.

“What do you mean…? ” Frost asked, suspiciously.

The wise badger sat down to tell them about the long lost Guardians. “Once there were three Guardian FireFox the Guardian of all forest, RockyLion the guardian of all plains, and your mother, RiverWolf the guardian of all water. Sadly, the guardians did not last and were all turned to stone. Your mother was the last one to turn to stone for she was hiding you at this lake and no one knew.”

“So that’s my mother?” Frost interrupted.

“Shh! I want to hear the rest of the story!” Daisy said, in her normal playful voice.

The wise badger shook her pelt, spraying water everywhere and continued her story.

“The guardians were the only ones who knew of you and they called you Frost, Protector of the Frozen Lake. When they turned to stone, the evil spirits thought they were done, but before they left, they created two evil monsters to terrorize the world. Creatures say the monsters have a slot on each of their chests. You must put a diamond shard in each of their chests. The first monster is in the Great Cave, while the second one is where your heart leads you. You must find the shards, and destroy the monsters to bring back the Guardians. I'll give you a hint, look at your mothers chest.” The badger said, looking over them.

Frost walked over to the stone wolf and peered over her wings to see a dark blue shard on her chest. He grabbed it and looked at the badger for more answers but she was gone. All that was left was a sword and a vine.

“What do you think that’s for…” Daisy worried.

Frost put the sword on without a word, looked at Daisy, “It’s for the monsters.”

Back at the den Frost and Daisy told everyone what had happened. They all understood, and started to pack food for their trip. They gathered around to say their goodbyes as Frost and Daisy walked out of the den. Frost sat down a little ways into the forest and tied the vines to his leg and put the gem on it too. “

They walked for a long time. Daisy suddenly stepped at a red leaf.

“I think we found it…” Daisy picked up the leaf and it turned to frost.

They followed the red and orange leaves to what looked like an autumn globe. They looked around for a stone and their eyes fixed on something in the distance. They ran over to it and looked for a gem.

“I think I found it!” Daisy shouted.

Frost came to look and there was a bright red gem on the side of the statue. He carefully pulled it out and attached it to the other gem.

“Ok, now I think we need one more!” He was excited to be a Guardian, but that quickly faded. “Yeah, one more before you have to fight two monsters.” Daisy muttered and started to tear up from the thought of losing Frost.

“I’ll be careful, I promise!” Frost came to sit next to Daisy. “We can sleep here tonight if you want.”

“Sure, it’s safe here.” Daisy said, wrapping her small tail around herself.

“Frost wake up!” Daisy yelled.

“I’m up I’m up!” Frost said, jumping to his paws.

“Frost trotted over to the food and grabbed a plump rabbit and sat down to eat. After they ate they continued on their way to find the last shard.

“Alright, we made it to the plains, but we still have to find where the spirits stoned him at.” Frost said, flicking his tail.

“I think I know the way! My mom told me about RockyLion and where he lives!” She said, bolting forward.

They ran for a while. Finally they reached a stone that looked like a lion and cautiously looked for the gem.

“Hmm I don’t see it, do you daisy?” Frost ask, still looking for the gem

“Sadly, I don’t see any gems.” Daisy said sitting down

“What, what that!” Frost looked at the stone lion's shoulder and carefully pulled out a stone colored gem.

The friends were excited for their victory, but also very tired. They had traveled a long way from home. After they rested, they started to find the first monster. Soon they had arrived at the Great Cave.

They both gulped and headed towards the cave. They headed up the steppes, slowing their pace when they got close to the top.

“Alright, let's go in.” Daisy said, putting a foot inside the cave.

“No! I don’t want you to get hurt.” Frost stepped in front of Daisy.

“If you're risking your life, then I will too.” Daisy said, bravely.

“Fine, but I’ll be close to you.” Frost reassured her.

They trotted into the cave, not knowing what the first monster would look like and how powerful it would be. Their head growled and saw two large eyes open. It flapped its wings, blowing dust into their face.

Daisy pinned her ears back and unleashed her claws. They sprinted towards the monster, clawing its leg. The monster yowled and swiped its feet at Daisy, knocking her to the ground. “Daisy!” Frost looked in the direction of Daisy, all he could see was a black and white figure jump at the monster, locking her jaws onto its wings. Frost grabbed his sword and slashed the monster's chest. As soon as he did, he looked back to see wings appear on his back.

“When did I get wings?!” He said, dodging the monster's attack.

He flew up and landed on the monster's back, he started slipping off so he dug his claws into the monster's back to stay on. The monster yowled and started to spin. Frost flung off and landed in a sand pile. He was at a good angle to finally drive the shard into the monster's chest and it collapsed.

The friends left the cave in a hurry. They went back into the forest where they found a hollowed out tree and went to sleep.

They woke early the next day to continue their quest. Frost remembered he would need to follow his own heart to find the last monster. All he could think of was the love of his mother. He knew that is where his heart belonged. The two friends started to head back to where all this had begun. Back to the Frozen Lake. As they arrived at the Frozen Lake, they could hear the screeching of a huge monster ahead. They crawled under a bush to survey their surroundings.

“That’s the last monster.” Daisy said, as she jumped up and darted towards the monster.

Frost followed her onto the lake. He looked in horror as Daisy fell through the ice. Frost quickly dived in after Daisy and looked around. He saw Daisy digging at the sand and she fell through. Frost did the same and quickly fell through the hole he dug. Frost gasped for air and looked for Daisy. He heard a yowl and saw the monster throw Daisy. Anger grew in Frost and he jumped at the monster. The monster saw that Frost had enormous paws and threw him on a rock wall. Frost held in a scream as the monster clawed his back.

Frost fought the monster with all he had. He fell down at his mothers statue and asked her for all her strength to help him win the battle. All at once, Frost begins to feel strength come over his whole body. He lunged at the monster with his sword which penetrated his chest and with one final jump, Frost shoved a shard into the wound. At once the monster fell where he once stood, the dark started to fade away and a radiant light had beamed out of the sky onto his mothers stone.

All the creatures came from the woods to lay their eyes on the glorious sight. Suddenly , the stone began to break away, underneath the stone was the most beautiful white fur coat any one had ever witnessed poking through. The world seemed to stand still for a moment. Frost walked forward to meet his mother for the first time. He paused just in front of her.

“My son. You have saved us all! You are Frost, Protector of the Frozen Lake!” His mother exclaimed with pride.

All the creatures cheered his name, as Frost and his mother finally hugged.
