Your eyes stare at the page. You want to slam the book closed. That chapter was shocking and painful. You want to stop reading.
But it isn’t the end, there’s so many more pages. You keep reading. There’s healing and joy. You trust that the author writes more than tragedy.

A Love Forboding
The chipped stone slope caused unbearable footing. I slid, skirting on my heels. I cast my shield, relinquishing my guard to stay upright. Left with my double-edge and a prayer to the maker, I skated toward my objective. The earthly stubble gave way to solid ground. I found myself restored, a trail of dust in my wake.

Self Help: Grifters' Gospel
On Self-Help, Snake Oil, and the Illusion of Change Psychology professionals and students can be imagined on two opposite sides of a line called self-help books: likely a larger group opposes pop-science and step-by-step manuals filled with talk of success, journaling, and not giving a f**k; others love them, but they aren’t many.

A relatable feeling for anyone who's ever picked up a gripping story. I like how this micro is subtly hinting that there's a chance for humanity yet. Love thoughtfulness in these micros D.K. :)
I read this one first then went and read the other two. I honestly do not know if I prefer one form the other they are each unique.
