Under a drizzling sky, Claire waited at the café, where a promise had been made five years ago. He had to move away, but that night, they'd sworn to meet again if they ever found their way back.

Lost in thought, she heard the bell jingle. There he was, soaking wet, grinning as if no time had passed. “Still like your coffee with too much sugar?” he asked. She laughed, heart full, as though every rainy day had only led them here, to each other once more.
