While Chris Pine has started gaining more attention with his roles in Star Trek as Captain Kirk, as well as in Wonder Woman as Steve Trevor, his career has been on a slow rise to popularity over many years of hard work and perseverance. Here are some facts you might not know about the charismatic actor.

5. He Comes From A Family Of Actors

His father, Robert Pine, has had many guest roles in TV including Jim Halpert's dad in The Office, Buddy on Finding Carter and Sgt. Joseph Getraer on CHiPs. He even had a voice role in the Disney movie Frozen as the bishop! His mother, Gwynne Gilford, appeared in television and movies as well, including staring on CHiPs with alongside Robert Pine.

4. His First Film Role Was In A Disney Movie

While he had had roles in theater and TV shows, Chris Pine didn't make his first big screen appearance until he co-starred with Anne Hathaway in Princess Diaries 2 as Nicholas, her love interest after the Genovian crown.

3. He Was Friends With Zachary Quinto Before They Did 'Star Trek'

Zachary Quinto has said in an interview that the two met before they landed on the set of Star Trek.

"It wasn’t even a gym, it was a friend’s kitchen. That was the funny thing. We had the same trainer who was a friend of ours before he was either of our trainers, and now we work out at the same gym."

2. Don't Touch The Eyebrows

While Pine has become fairly well known for baby blues and his leading man abilities, when he was first starting out, people had a real problem with the way he looked, namely his eyebrows.

“When I first started out, everyone thought they were too much. In my first job, they dyed them. Then another tried to pluck them, and that looked awful. Now I won’t let them touch my eyebrows."

Trust us, women know your pain, Chris.

1. He Believes In Karma

It's no surprise that he starred in Just My Luck with Lindsay Lohan, a movie about two characters that were switching their good/bad karma throughout the film, since he actually strongly believes in karma and positive energy.

“I believe in luck and fate and I believe in karma, that the energy you put out in the world comes back to meet you. So if you have positive good energy, hopefully good things will come to you from the universe… I definitely have a spiritual outlook… I am not a religious guy, I am probably agnostic. The more you are positive and say I want to have a good life, the more you build that reality for yourself; by creating the life that you want. It is not always the case that things will fall into your lap or that life will be great, but it is all about perspective and having a positive outlook. If something goes wrong, you say, ‘That happened for a reason, what can I learn from that and how can I do to grow?'"

Having been a fan of his work since Princess Diaries 2 days, it has been great to see #ChrisPine grow as an actor and get bigger roles. Here's hoping that we get to see him in many more movies to come.
