General Hospital cast skaeup possible

There is breaking news or rather a rumor of possible shakeups coming. Belinda from Soap Dirt reports that a trusted General Hospital source says Steve Burton is not the only cast member leaving the ABC daytime drama. Allegedly, Josh Swickard and Eden McCoy are on their way out, and Kelly Thiebaud may be right behind them.

According to Belinda, the person who leaked the news has been an accurate source in the past. Still, she points out that this information is not a spoiler and has not been confirmed. Keep this in mind in case these cast members remain in Port Charles. Let's take a look at the characters in question.

Is Chase being written out?

GH viewers have noticed the writers seem to be backing Chase into a corner from which he may not return. The PCPD has demoted him, and he still will not stop trying to help Willow.

Chase is obsessed with proving that Michael shot Drew, but viewers know Willow is the guilty party. recognized Drew's house key on Michael's key ring, and fans are still wondering how he did it. He used the key to enter the house to validate that it belonged to Drew. Chase is unaware that Willow wanted to frame Michael with the key.

Wiley caught Chase placing Michael's key ring on the floor at the Quartermaines. This information will probably come to light, and Chase will be accused of trying to set Michael up and be fired.

He will also incur the wrath of the Qs, and his marriage to Brooke Lynn will be over. It's easy to consider that this character might be on his way out. There might be a better path of redemption for Drew than Chase.

Eden McCoy may desire to move on

When it comes to Eden McCoy, perhaps she wants to try something new. She is a fan favorite and has been on General Hospital for 11 years. Viewers have been watching her grow up since 2015, when she was 12.

If she is leaving, it's probably her choice rather than being written out. She may have decided that at 22, it's time to try her hand at other projects. Or it could be the WSB storyline has backed her into a corner. Hopefully, Joss will not die in the line of duty. Eden may have decided it's time to move on. Time will tell.

What's up with Britt?

Belinda from Soap Dirt expressed an opinion about Britt that many fans agree with. The writers don't seem to know what to do with her, and her relationship with Jason is not taking off as viewers had thought.

Britt is running back and forth between GH and Wyndemere while trying to sneak in time with Jason. Fans were angry when Britt reverted to her former self when she and Brad Cooper skipped out on paying a restaurant bill. It's not clear what the writers are attempting with this character.

Thiebaud is working with the material she has been given, but something seems off or is missing. It would not be surprising if Huntington's disease progresses, or she might get killed in some type of crossfire.

What happens next?

Steve Burton is supposed to return this summer. The rumor mill suggests Jason will be kidnapped, but it won't be by Sidwell. Stay tuned to General Hospital to learn whether the trusted source is correct and whether Chase, Joss, and or Britt leave Port Charles.
