MemeCoins Jesus: Can Murad Make Us Free?

You surely must have noticed that many MemeCoins have been pumping hard during the last few weeks. What makes this trend strange is that Bitcoin has been pretty flat around the $60K range during this period.What makes this feel even weirder is that except MemeCoins other altcoins have infact been losing value.

I was trying to browse CrytpoTwitter (or X) to make some sense of what is wrong then I came across several references to a person called Murad with the handle of MustStopMurad.

He seems to have been strongly shilling MemeCoins for quite some time and his posts seem to have started going viral since last week of September when he uploaded a video of him presenting during the Token 2049 convention in Singapore.

He talks about why he thinks MemeCoins are going to dominate the next bull run and are going to lead to mass adoption of crypto in general. If you have 22 minutes to spare I would definitely recommend you to watch the full video, else this post will give you a general idea of what he is preaching.

Who is Murad?

Murad is an old timer in the crypto world and started off as a Bitcoin Maxi and went on to start his own crypto trading firm. His company was doing well till it got liquidated completely and went bankrupt during the covid crash.

He went into a hibernation period of about a year where he did not step out of his house and kept researching on new trends in crypto.

What is Murad Preaching?

Murad is a firm believer that MemeCoin are going to take over Altcoins and even Bitcoin and they will drive the mass crypto adoption. He says people dismiss memecoins as being just a joke and not being sustainable in the future but he cliams that most altcoins claiming to be based on cutting edge technology are failing. They promote themselves as tech based but they are fronts for greedy founders who are ready to cash out. He points out that tokenomics of all Altcoins are intended to benefit the founders and are against the public that gets dumped on.

Memecoins on the other hands are 100% available to public and their price discover depends on public interest. He says Memecoins offer a great utility of the emotional sense of belonging and coins that can generate this sense and form a strong cult like following will rise exponentially in the future.

He then proceeds to list some of his favourite memecoins which he things have really strong communities. His top MemeCoins are:

• SPX6900- Aimed at getting a market cap bigger than the stock exchanges

• GIGA- For the emotion of strength

• POPCAT- He thinks it will flip Doge

Do I Agree with Murad?

I never was a fan of Memecoins and always stayed away from Doge, Pepe and the rest despite all the hype they generated. When I heard Murad say “POPCAT” something clicked in my mind. If you read my posts regulalry you would have noticed that I make a monthly post about my earnings from airdrops and which altcoins I am betting on for making my crypto millions in the next bull run.

For the sake of diversification in January this year I sold off a crappy airdrop and got $10 of POPCAT, I don’t even remember why I chose POPCAT and not some other dog, cat, frog coin.

I did not care about this for many months but then during my monthly portfolio checks I noticed all my altcoins were falling but this POPCAT just kept rising. Very soon it did a 100X and my $10 put in it was $1,000. This made me realize that despite my aversion for MemeCoins they were a good hedge for my portfolio.

Then everything that Murad said started to make some sense to me and I could relate to it due to what I saw first hand with POPCAT.

Customizing my Approach with Murad’s Strategy

I am now in the process of booking some profits off of POPCAT and buying some other smaller coins suggested by Murad. Wait for a detailed post on that as I still need to reserch some of the coins he recommended.

Joining the MemeCoin Movement (or Mania)?

I have decided to follow the advice of Murad and adopt his Memecoin strategy in my portfolio. Whether this will turn out be another short-lived fad or it will be a life changing decision we will soon find out.
