Movies Like ‘Mr. Right’
Still reeling from the chaotic couple in Mr. Right? Here’s some suggestions…

Some fun, and a little bit off, shows that fill the void after watching Mr. Right. Hope you enjoy this list and are able to watch some of these new and classic shows.
Hit Man

One of the newest shows out, this one was actually pretty good! Glen Powell is pretty popular right now and for good reason. He’s a pretty good actor! This show also shows his range. It’s about a "boring" professor who works on the side as a contractor with the police to help catch those who are tyring to hire a bona fide hitman. However, our leading man works in the van at the computer. When a chance arrives to become the "hitman" he takes the chance to become the "hitman" everybody expects. Taking on a new persona every person, he meets an unexpecting woman trying to kill her husband because of his abusive behavior. The professor takes a liking to her and tries to become the man who was meant to be with her. However, having two lives things become a little messy and a little too true for his liking.
Mayhem

Two people are unjustly treated by a law firm company and by some chance they are granted the true revenge they really want. A deadly virus in quarantine underneath the law firm has been released in the building and they are now acting strangely, acting out their wildest impulses. Now our two unlikely anti-heroes are able to do the same and take revenge on the company that has wronged them.
I haven't seen this one, but it looks great especially with the two pictured above as the main characters.
Killers

When a woman goes on vacation to a romantic location, French Riviera, by herself she gets enamored by a fun guy and they start to fall in love. Fast forward three years and they are living in the perfect suburbian lifestyle. Until they aren’t. Finding out her husband is spy turns her world upside down. Her neighbors, his coworkers, and random people are trying to kill her husband and they both have to figure out why and stay alive!
American Ultra

A stoner, who is a sleeper cell (the irony? Ha!), is living his best life with his girlfriend. He spends his days getting stoned and writing his graphic novel about a sueprhero monkey. One day, his company finds him and his girlfriend, who happens to be his handler, activates his abilities once again to fight and get themselves out of the dangerous situation.
I thought this movie was slow to start, but turned out pretty funny. Eisenberg and Stewart make a great combination with their awkward personalities and their similar acting.
Knight and Day

Somehow after chatting up a seatmate on her flight, the leading lady gets caught in an espionage tale that causes her to dodge bullets, shoot people herself, and get involved in high speed chases. The man on the flight has a lot of explaining to do, but doesn't give her the answers she's looking for. She has to navigate her own life and now the life created for her by some random guy she just met on a plane. Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise are humorous in these roles and make a fun, yet light action show about falling in love while trying to avoid imminent death.
Keeping Up with the Joneses

A newer version of the concept of trying to keep up with your perfect neighbors, we find a semi-boring couple falling for the perfect act of their new neighbors. However perfect they may be, they live a double life as spies and the neighbors somehow join them in their newest mission. With all the A-listers, this movie is pretty funny and has a good amount of action!
Crow

Probably the black sheep on this list, but I thought it still kind of fits even though it’s not very humorous. A man comes back to life after him and his fiancée are murdered to commit the same acts on those who did it to them. He has one night to seek revenge and to find peace to be with his love in the afterlife. I chose this because the action is amazing, the snarky personality of the lead, and the gothic-ness of it still kind of relate to Mr. Right.
