Jeffrey Epstein strikes again

JeffreyEpstein continues to disrupt lives from beyond the grave. Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey are the latest celebrities whose names are being connected, but not by what you may believe. The two entertainers have been mentioned because Jimmy Fallon has scrapped plans for a joint venture to make a pasta sauce with former Sony head Tommy Mottola, whose name is in the Epstein files.

Mottola was allegedly involved with the convicted sex offender, and the Internet is buzzing about what Michael Jackson once said on camera about Mariah Carey's former husband. The relationship between Mottola, Jackson, and Carey is one of the most well-known situationships in current music history.

Motolla and Carey's journey

Tommy Mottola and Mariah Carey met in 1988. Mottola, then the head of Sony Music, signed 19-year-old Mariah after listening to her demo tape. The couple married in 1993, but Carey later described the marriage as a "prison." She nicknamed their Bedford, New York, mansion "Sing Sing" because of the hold Mattola had over her via intense surveillance and control.

Carey alleged that her husband monitored her movements, dictated her public image, and initially discouraged her from considering R&B and hip-hop. Tommy wanted his wife to remain a "pop princess". They separated in 1997 and divorced in 1998.

In his 2013 memoir, Mottola admitted the relationship with Marriah was "wrong and inappropriate." Still, he defended his "obsessive" nature as playing a role in Marriah's successful career.

Jackson and Motolla

Beginning in 1989, Mottola worked closely with Michael Jackson on various albums. Their relationship became strained during the promotion of Jackson's 2001 album, Invincible. Jackson launched a public campaign against Sony Music and Mottola personally in 2002.

During a protest in London and a speech in Harlem, Jackson called Mottola "a racist" and "very, very, very devilish." Jackson accused Mottola of attempting to sabotage his career to force him to sell his half of the ATV/Sony music catalog, which included the Beatles' songs.

Michael also claimed that record companies conspired against Black artists. Jackson was so furious that he rode in an open-top bus through New York while holding a sign depicting Mottola with devil horns. He also shared that Carey leaned on him for support and was crying after sharing how abusive Motolla had been.

Carey and Jackson's accusations

During his 2002 protests, Jackson publicly stated that "Tommy Motolla is the devil." He and Mariah Carey bonded when she went to him "crying" after her divorce. telling him that Mottola was an "evil man" who followed her and tapped her phones.

Around the same time, accusations surfaced that Mottola had tried to sabotage Carey’s 2001 movie and soundtrack Glitter by allegedly instructing producers to give a similar musical concept (the sample for "Loverboy") to Jennifer Lopez for her song "I'm Real."

After Mottola admitted being "obsessive" and "controlling" for Carey's professional benefit, he said that Jackson's accusations were "ludicrous." Mariah Carey has maintained that her time with her former spouse was "emotionally abusive and stifling." She says she eventually found her "voice" and freedom after their split.

Evidence is needed

Now that Motolla has been revealed as having a close relationship with Epstein, Jackson fans are looking at the above past events in a different light. There are articles, Facebook reels, and YouTube videos suggesting that Jackson did not molest children but was trying to protect them from Epstein.

The statements that Mariah Carey and Michael Jackson made about Tommy Motolla have people speculating about how much he knew about Jeffrey Epstein's involvement with underage girls and whether Motolla was actively participating.

Motolla is one of several prominent music industry moguls whose names have been linked to Epstein. He has admitted meeting with him but denies any wrongdoing.

There is no evidence of Motolla involved in criminal activities but his name in the files was enough for Jimmy Kimal to scrap what could have been a lucrative business deal. Until more details are revealed about those who are associated with Jeffrey Epstein, the public will continue connecting their own dots using the mentality that where there is smoke, there is fire.

This situation has fueled unsubstantiated rumors that Michael Jackson may have been killed to silence him. The bottom line to all ofthis is that some facts may never come to light, and some rumors will not go away. When it comes to the Epstein files, there is still so much that is unknown that might not be revealed.
