1. Mandy Doll

The story began in 1991 when a woman named Mereanda donated the doll to the Quesnel Museum in British Columbia, Canada. She said that one night, she was awakened by strange crying in the basement.

When she went down to check, she found the window wide open, an old doll sitting there staring at her. Too scared, the next morning, she brought the doll to the Museum and they named it Mandy.

Mandy is a doll made in England or Germany in 1910 or 1920. Now, her clothes are wrinkled, old, her face has many cracks. When she was brought to the museum, many people thought that Mandy was just a normal doll, but soon after, strange things began to appear.

First, the museum staff couldn't find their lunches even though they had put them in the cupboard. They looked everywhere but finally found them in a small drawer.

Even more strangely, many other items belonging to the staff were also "gone missing". Every night, museum guards said they heard footsteps moving around the room but they did not find a single person.

From the existing suspicions, people began to investigate the origin of the Mandy doll. However, no one knew where Mandy came from or how she was born. It was only known that this doll seemed to have a strange power, accumulated over many years.

At first, Mandy was placed right at the entrance. The cracks on her face, combined with her mysterious smile and gaze, made many people feel scared. Later, Mandy was moved to a separate room.

However, for some unknown reason, many people came to film and take pictures of Mandy, but they were all covered by a strange light, and then after about 5 seconds, all the cameras automatically turned off. When they went to other rooms in the museum, the camera worked normally.

Some visitors have said that when they visit the museum, they feel as if there is a gaze always following them. Occasionally, people still see Mandy's eyes blinking at them, many people see the doll move to another position and then in the blink of an eye, it returns to the same place.

2. The Legend of the Robert Doll

When it comes to haunted dolls, the American Robert doll is arguably the most famous. The Robert doll was the inspiration for filmmakers to create the creepy doll character Chucky in the famous movie " Ghost Doll".

Robert belonged to Robert Eugene Otto . In 1906, a Bahamas maid hand-made a 36-inch doll as a gift for a boy named Eugene. Many believe that the maid cursed the toy after Robert's parents expressed their displeasure with her. Shortly after the maid left, mysterious events began to occur, causing trouble for the Otto family.

Robert named the doll after himself and enjoyed talking to it, with people claiming it spoke back. They also said the toy could change its expression at will and could travel around its own home.

Neighbors reported seeing the doll moving from window to window while the Ottos were away. Family members reported hearing the toy's eerie cackling laughter.

The Robert doll caused many strange stories during the day, but at night it only focused on "playing" with the boy Eugene Robert. Household items automatically broke or disappeared; glassware and gold and silver in the dining room fell and broke; clothes were torn by themselves; bedding automatically shrank and crumpled.

Eugene Robert suddenly became weak and strange. Every night, he would sneak out the window and wander around at night. When his parents started to notice and complain, they realized something was wrong. Eugene kept saying, “Robert did it!” And then people started to talk about whether the doll Robert was the cause of these things.

Gradually, strange stories continued to happen, Eugene Robert's family members passed away one by one under suspicion. Even when Eugene got married, strange things continued to happen.

Ever since they got married, Eugene and his wife had agreed to always keep Robert by their side. But then disaster struck, the doll Robert seemed to want to keep Eugene all to himself. After the wedding, Eugene's wife suddenly went mad and died of unknown causes.

When Eugene died, Robert was passed on to a new owner. This new owner was also haunted and disturbed by Robert. Too scared, the new owner quickly left and Robert was given to the Martello Museum, Key West.

Even when it was put in the museum, many people said that the doll would curse anyone who took a picture of it without permission, if the Robert doll agreed, it would tilt its head slightly to show permission. Visitors who forgot to do this had to go back to ask forgiveness because it was what they filmed during the trip because their cameras always mysteriously broke afterwards.

3. Annabelle Doll

In 1970, a woman passing by a second-hand store discovered a beautiful Annabelle doll and bought it for her daughter as a gift. Her daughter loved Annabelle so much that she placed it on her bedside table.

However, after a while, strange phenomena began to occur. The doll could move across rooms without anyone touching it. Old pieces of parchment appeared with childish scribbles. One day people even saw the doll standing upright on its cloth legs...

Too scared, the girl began to look for a psychic to explain the strange phenomena and learned that inside the Annabelle doll there was the soul of a little girl who died when building this house. This soul said that it really liked its current owner and wanted to stay.

The family agreed and continued to keep the doll in the house. But these strange phenomena increased. A male friend, after visiting the house, was attacked by the doll and had his stomach and chest brutally scratched.

The girl decided to contact two famous psychics. This psychic couple said that the soul inside was not that of a little girl, but of a demon who liked to lie to get close to girls in order to possess their souls.

Too scared, Annabelle's owner later gave the doll to the Warren Occult Museum , in Moodus village, East Haddam town, Connecticut state, USA, and it was kept by everyone there.

During their journey, little Patty was asked to leave behind unnecessary items to lighten the luggage load, but she insisted on keeping the doll. The doll and Patty's family were fortunately saved later.

Today, the Patty doll is on display at the Sutter's Fort State Historical Museum in Sacramento, California. It is said that the doll was haunted by the sight of people eating each other during her fateful trip.

The people of New Orleans were afraid of the Devil child . Because it often hid in the dark, alleys to harass anyone on the road. To protect, the villagers carved the image of the Satan child in pumpkins and hung it outside the door to ward off the Devil. One of the dolls still exists today but has been lost.

Artist Ricardo Pustiano, who lived in the 20th century, bought all these dolls and mass-produced other versions for sale. His customers claimed that the dolls would often look at them furtively, so they later warned each other that the doll was haunted and that the devil lived inside it.

8. Pulau Ubin Babies Dolls

Babies dolls only become creepy when the ghost of a young girl asks to buy them from beneath her grave.

At the beginning of World War I, the British invaded many colonies around the world and they arrested a German couple in Singapore on suspicion of being spies in 1914. They were arrested but the daughter escaped and fell into the abyss later. A small shrine was built by the locals in Pulau Ubin to commemorate the poor girl.

In 2007, a man was haunted by a young girl for three consecutive nights in his dreams, appearing to him and insisting that he go to a toy store to buy a Babies doll. After the third night, he went to the store and saw the exact doll that the girl had shown him in his dream.

He bought the doll and placed it on the young girl’s grave. Since then, visitors to the girl’s grave have brought small items such as perfume and lipstick to offer to her soul. They hope her soul will rest in peace in the afterlife.

9. Victorian mourning doll

This doll dates back over 150 years, to the Victorian era. During this era, children died a lot. By the late 19th century, it was common to own a mourning doll and place it in the lap of a child.

These dolls are usually made of wax and have the hair of a dead child. They are also dressed in the child’s clothes and people mourn over them as if they were real. While they are not necessarily haunted, the fact that they represent dead children and have real hair attached to them is still very creepy.

10. Peggy Doll

Peggy is a famous haunted doll in England, owned by paranormal researcher Jayne Harris, who leads a small organization called Haunted Dolls. The doll's previous owner was a woman, terrified of what it brought, she gave it to Jayne.

Peggy is said to have the power to manipulate people's dreams, warning or haunting them. Psychics who have studied the doll have linked it to the Nazi genocide, while Jayne believes the spirit inside the doll died of respiratory problems, perhaps poison gas.

In 2015, Peggy made headlines with an article about her. About 80 people who read the article said they had bad experiences after seeing pictures of the doll. Some people felt nauseous, others became panicked. Jayne asked the doll to stop hurting people, but it didn't seem to work. One woman even died of a heart attack after seeing her.

The mystery remains unsolved

Although scientists have come to investigate and research in all three cases, it seems that all questions are still at a standstill. Researcher Johua P. Warren believes that there is an energy source surrounding these dolls.

It seems that deep inside each doll there is a real person. Although some suspicions have been pointed out, the mystery of these haunted dolls is still an open question.
