Josh moved into a cozy, old cottage at the edge of town. Every night, he heard footsteps pacing in the attic. At first, he thought it was an animal, but the steady, rhythmic steps told him otherwise. Curiosity took over, and one night, he climbed the stairs to investigate. The footsteps stopped as he reached the attic door.
When he opened it, the room was empty. But as he turned to leave, he heard the footsteps again—this time, coming down the stairs toward him. He ran, but every night, the steps resumed, drawing closer to his room.
