Writing while fascinated....
I love the Vocal phenomenon of having my sentences anticipate themselves while I am composing my craft.
Ok, so I might not make sense at first. Let me try to explain my childish glee at this new toy which I have found so alluring.
Has anyone noticed lately, the way our sentences are being 'wordly' and gently nudging us towards the correct or preferred proper choice of suggested words and phrases, which will better enhance our stories while we write.
On Vocal! Is it Vocal?
I must say that it feels much like that intuitive lover who can anticipate our next words. Like when two souls are so in tune, they intuitively know each other's very next thoughts, and complete their unspoken sentences. Then you imagine that they must have just read your mind.
So, I have noticed that on Vocal, words appear next to my words which are actually the words which I should choose to complete my sentences. If I omit a comma, full stop or a dash, or place it where it should not be, I get gently nudged in the right direction, sometimes not quite so proper, for after all it is artificial intelligence, following its own code or cipher.
The program will softly yell at me when I omit a comma, place it at the incorrect spot or maybe should just delete it completely. How truly awesome is that.
I may say something like, ' I think that I just fell in....", and sure enough the word 'love' just insinuates itself next to my very unfinished sentence, as if by some magical means. Thankfully it did not say (some shite), that would have been bad.
I then see the allure of having AI write our thoughts, I am in awe of the bridges which we have crossed in technology, and really appreciate the lengths to which this platform will go to ensure that we enunciate and articulate our thoughts cohesively. I make mistakes, as we all sometimes do, but if we now pay keen attention to the prompts, we may just become the perfect writers which AI is happily nudging us to become.
I will not deny that I am always left behind when it comes to technology and heavens knows what else, but I think that it is worth pointing out the efforts of the ones who work behind the scenes to make our efforts become more streamlined, connected and flow with more clarity. I am sure there is a name for it, and it appears everywhere, and that there is certainly an app for that somewhere. As I said, I am woefully behind the times on new apps and such the likes.
So....Grammarly, Apple pages, TextEdit, WordSwag or some such?

Also: I see that Notifications is still doing its thing where it says someone just commented on your story 10 hours ago, when it was actually 10 minutes, but hey, nothing is perfect, right?
Also: Does it seem to anyone else that messages seem to reach some people's stories much faster than others. I marvel at how quickly some people reply to comments, while I sit forever awaiting my turn to reply. So it sits on notifications while I twiddle my thumb, waiting.....waiting...and still waiting. I leave and bide my time to return, which then may end up being forgotten while I am distracted by other stories and challenges. Ah, the ins and outs of technology.
Also: Let us not forget the block quotes, underlining, link, strikethrough, italics, bold, formatting and removal of formatting, heading, ordered and unordered lists and other helpful tools.
Yes, today I felt like musing over the many changes and updates which are assisting us in making our stories attractive, meaningful and well formatted.
I look forward to the coming attractions which will make our offerings even more exciting to create.
Yet: I marvel that we are not all half human, half AI by now. It is 2023, should we not have had those AI chips installed already. Or did we?
Also: We all should invest in Vocal!
Bye for now!

I can relate to this, especially the omitting of commas and full stops. AI keeps underlining the new names I use, lol.
I think I live in a different universe than you because Vocal does not do that for me, lol. But then again, I use Vocal on my phone. Maybe that's why?
simply excellent Great work!
Sometimes it's helpful & I avail myself of it. Other times it's simply annoying. If I added a comma every time AI suggests one, a lot of what I write would be unreadable (at least according to my high school debate coach & teacher). And some of the words it suggests or spellings it doesn't recognize.... Oh, & why does it suggest to you that you have fallen in love when it suggests to me that I have fallen in a hole? (Okay, it actually just suggested that I had fallen "in love with you", but that's just silly, lol.)
I hadn't thought of AI that way, so thank you for the different perspective!
