Marquitta Rucker Recognized for Expanding Equity, Funding Access, and Community Leadership Nationwide
Founder of S.W.A.T. Foundation Inc. and InfluenceHER Business Solutions advances opportunity for families, entrepreneurs, and underserved communities

ATLANTA— Nonprofit leadership and grant advocacy continue shaping how resources reach communities navigating poverty, instability, and limited access to capital. As funding systems grow more competitive and complex, leaders who understand both community need and funding strategy play a central role in strengthening long term outcomes.
Among those contributing to this work is Marquitta Rucker, a nationally recognized community leader, educator, and certified grant professional whose career spans more than a decade of advancing equity and economic access.
Rucker will be honored on March 7, 2026 at the Women’s Empowerment and Awards Brunch Gala in Philadelphia. The event recognizes leaders across nonprofit service, education, entrepreneurship, and advocacy whose work demonstrates measurable impact within underserved communities.
Rucker is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Executive Director of S.W.A.T. Foundation Inc., Servants With A Testimony, a nonprofit established in memory of her mother. The organization provides tailored intervention services for women, children, and families facing systemic barriers, economic hardship, and transitional instability.
Under her leadership, S.W.A.T. Foundation Inc. has served more than 20,000 families nationwide. The organization has also supported over 400 businesses and helped secure millions of dollars in funding for community based initiatives focused on housing stability, youth engagement, entrepreneurship, and workforce development.
Community development professionals consistently note that funding literacy remains one of the most significant barriers facing grassroots organizations and small businesses. Without structured guidance, many initiatives struggle to access capital or build sustainable program models.

Rucker’s expertise addresses that gap. As a certified grant professional, she has guided nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and institutions through complex funding processes, strengthening proposal development, compliance structure, and reporting systems.
She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and has presented nationally on grant writing strategy, youth civic engagement, and the long term impacts of poverty on community systems. Her presentations focus on capacity building, strategic alignment, and data informed planning that allows organizations to compete effectively for funding.
Beyond nonprofit leadership, Rucker founded InfluenceHER Business Solutions, a women’s entrepreneurship incubator designed to prepare founders for funding readiness and sustainable growth. The program offers structured education on business formation, financial documentation, grant positioning, and operational scaling.
Women owned businesses continue playing a critical role in local economies, yet many face barriers to capital access and mentorship. Incubator programs that combine funding education with operational training help close those gaps and strengthen economic mobility.
Rucker’s work across nonprofit and entrepreneurial sectors reflects a systems based leadership model. Direct service, funding strategy, and education operate together to create long term pathways for stability and growth.
Her leadership has earned numerous recognitions, including a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, multiple Nonprofit of the Year honors, and an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters acknowledging her service and sustained community impact.
Colleagues often describe her approach as disciplined and outcome focused. Programs under her direction emphasize accountability, measurable results, and strategic partnerships designed to extend reach beyond single funding cycles.
Grant professionals continue highlighting the importance of building infrastructure within community organizations. Sustainable leadership requires more than passion. It requires compliance knowledge, financial literacy, and long term planning. Rucker’s work reinforces that standard.
The Women’s Empowerment and Awards Brunch Gala will convene leaders across multiple sectors while supporting youth leadership and emotional wellness initiatives through Jewelz Foundation Incorporated. Rucker’s recognition reflects the essential role of nonprofit governance, funding advocacy, and structured leadership in strengthening families and local economies.
As public and private funding environments continue evolving, professionals who understand both policy and community realities influence how resources are distributed and sustained.
Through S.W.A.T. Foundation Inc. and InfluenceHER Business Solutions, Rucker continues expanding access to opportunity, supporting entrepreneurs, and building capacity within organizations serving vulnerable populations.
Her work illustrates how education, funding strategy, and service based leadership can operate together to influence long term community development and economic resilience.
Across the nation, leaders who combine advocacy with technical expertise remain central to building equitable systems. Rucker’s career reflects that intersection, reinforcing the importance of structured support, strategic funding, and intentional leadership in advancing opportunity for underserved communities.
