The truth is, we live in a shitty ass world—where our hearts and minds get tainted from the very beginning. Without much awareness, all of our worlds come together and collide… unifying our way of thinking, the thoughts that form, the views/beliefs of what’s important and what is not, the behaviors that we should have in order to fit in correctly. It all brings us to an intentional understanding of the standards that we should have so that we may be of value, of worth, living life as it should be lived.
We are taught what must be done to reach freedom — freedom meaning: money, power, and respect (which in reality, it never is about genuine respect, it is about being feared.)
Freedom for me has come to mean something different over the years. Regardless of how little money I have had at times, how little time I’ve had to enjoy life outside of work and responsibilities, the little to no popularity I’ve had throughout life, and I’ve had even less power in this world; I can say that I do have freedom. I have genuine respect by almost all that have crossed paths with me in life. And I can go to sleep knowing I have power over myself, and I choose to be a source of light, acceptance, freedom, and more. (We live in a world where this is me being cocky, bragging—when in reality, this should be normal.)
Something I love to do to remind myself when I get lost in the chaos of this world: Close my eyes and see the world as if it is only just beginning. No ranks, jobs, or anything that normally provides our sense of value.
It’s just humanity. Humanity with a variety of skin colors, languages, sizes, shapes, sicknesses, and styles. None being more important or better than the other — just humanity. (I mention sicknesses, because not everyone is born 100% healthy and privileged in life.)
Just Humanity— where someone needs help cooking, so another cooks for them. This person finds joy in cooking and serving. Another in cleaning and serving. Another in making clothes and serving. Another with singing and serving. And so on.
We all have purpose.
We all have value.
We’re all in need of one another.
But, again, we do live in an imperfect world where some are lazy and will not work as hard in life for themselves and others, but instead take advantage of others and their kindness and hard work. Some are envious and will tell others that they are not good enough in an effort to bring them down (which is usually a successful tactic.) Some are hateful and hurt others to self-sooth their hatred, thinking it is fair and okay to do.
We live in a world that (so it seems,) from the very beginning, was led by hatred, selfishness, and fear of not being enough — so it was purposely and manipulatively made for others to believe that they are not good enough. Creating a system of ranking that would only benefit those that were filled with fear, weakness, and jealousy.
The desire for power amongst power is the foundation of the world we live in today.
Equality was and still is stripped away — and the standards are placed by those that desire the best only for themselves because they fear, that naturally, they are not as enough as others.
The bottom line: know true freedom. Be a human that is honest, considerate, hard working, helpful, and so on. Being good and worthy is a choice.
The way life treats you isn’t the consequence of your worth, it’s a consequence of a shitty world created by hateful, fearful, envious, and selfish people.
You knowing who you are is your worth. The consequence is knowing you are smart, wise, and not conforming to a shitty ass world. Hopefully, resulting in having a hand with recreating a better world for future generations — even if your name is never mentioned in history books.
Humanity must take responsibility — even if it’s in your own little world — make it better, clearer, and a wise one.
