Simple Ideas to Get and Stay Inspired

Change Your Attitude

Take notice of the specific times and events that have made you feel inspired in your life.

If you can take that same attitude as you had at those times and apply it to everyday life, you can start to achieve your goals and dreams.

START NOW! Don't put off your goals and dreams and find excuses. Set goals for yourself.

Choose It

There will be days when you don't feel inspire. Things and life can happen to make you feel unmotivated. Take time to go looking for inspiration. It won't always find you.

As much it may seem hard some days, use your power to press on. Don't let unmotivated-ness defeat you!

Make Goals and Actually Do Them

Make a list of goals. Although it may not be easy to do them, you may end up doing nothing at all even though you felt inspired when you wrote your list.

Create specific, concrete steps, even if small, to actually achieve your goals.

Don't Wait Until Later

Don't wait for happiness. Don't put your goals on hold.

You probably have perceived limitations. Don't wait for life to present you with the perfect moment. It probably never will. You must find a way to get past your limitations to start doing what you want right now!

Give Yourself a Change of Scenery

I am speaking from my own personal experience. I have made three different spaces to work on my writing and blogging. Two inside my home and one in a Zen retreat I made outside. It depends on how I feel at the time. Today I am writing this outside.

If you work in the same space every day, try changing location.

If you never try to explore new locations, go exploring. Discover new scenery out of you home if that helps you. Feel refreshed and inspired. You can yield fresh inspiration even by going to a place that already inspires you.

Exploring and a change of scenery doesn't mean you have to go out into nature. Go to a new cafe, the library, markets or go for a walk.

Refresh Your Workspace

Decorate your workspace with plants, put in colour, add art to your walls, whatever you know that will inspire you and make you feel happy.

Pinterest for Inspiration

There is lots of inspiration on Pinterest.

Try not to pin for hours and realize that you actually didn't take any action to do anything!

Exercise

It's hard to find the motivation to exercise sometimes, but if you can push yourself to even take a little walk, you will feel much more refreshed. Get your body moving. These releases feel good hormones and get your bloody pumping.

How to Find Inspiration to Exercise

- Music For Inspiration

Make a playlist of music that inspires you. Even have a variety of playlists depending on your mood. A work-out playlist, housework playlist and working playlist.

Be Spontaneous

Try doing things on the spur of the moment. Go see a friend, go for a day trip, take yourself out for a meal. Anything!

Focus on Your Feelings

If you are feeling down and feel frustrated because you are not feeling the passion or inspiration, that's okay. Don't try and force yourself and accept how you are feeling. That's okay.

Inspiration will come and go. Don't overthink it. Don't be hard on yourself when you're not feeling motivated or inspired. Accept the feeling. Fighting it will only make things feel worse.

Dream and Talk About it

Dream about your goals and desires to your hearts content. It can be big or small. It doesn't matter. Write it down.

Share your dreams with someone close to you. This will make it more real and hold you more accountable.

When You Feel Inspired, Take Note

Write down when someone or something inspires you. A friend who has made an important accomplishment, a song that meant something to you and made you feel good. Anything....

Pay it Forward

Tell someone when they inspire you. This will inspire the other person and you will feel good for them and you.

Apply that Inspiring Act and Apply it to You

Apply an inspiring act to your own personal business or life goal and dreams. Take action when you are inspired.
