Meet “Gift from God”

What’s your name and where are you from?

My name is Matthew, meaning "Gift from God" from the Bible. My older brother passed away before I was born and my mom had became pregnant shortly after and a close friend suggested it based on the meaning and and after the tragedy of my brother I was a gift for my mothers loss.

My stage name has been a couple of things growing up but I ended on "Maddd Boyyy" because that's how I felt. I was mad that I wasn't who I wanted to be in life and I was frustrated with life. Mad became an acronym for "Manifest All Dreams" or "Make a difference" I learned that being mad and angry does nothing unless that energy is used to push yourself out of where your at.

I was born in Long Beach, at Martin Luther King hospital but then moved shortly after and was raised all over Orange County.

Why do you love what you do?

Ive always used creation as an outlet, since a child I would always draw or make movies with my action figures. Creation is what drives me, talking an idea an manifesting it into reality. Feels like raw magic.

What makes you different?

Just look at me, I am expression. Covered in tattoos, mixed race with years of life experience. I'm marinated in flavor, my sauce is exquisite.

Being mostly Caucasian I grew up in predominant black and Mexican areas and had alot to soak up culturally.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Probably on Mars with "Elon Musk" with a bad lil alien Breezy sippin star water, talking to "Joe Rogan" about life and space drugs. "Hahhaha"

What do you want to accomplish in life?

All my dreams..M.A.D. "Manifest All Dreams"

I want to bring all these ideas I have running through my head to life. I want to raise my son and watch him manifest all his dreams, I want love and admiration for my existence. Getting a life and not living it , just seems so sad and underwhelming. Living a long fulfilling life is a blessing and as humans we should really appreciate that more.

What do you bring to your industry?

Relentless Ambition and pure authentic self, I don't bite style from nobody. I bring me, Matt "Maddd Boyyy" Andruz. A creative beast, a leader, a fat kid who wanted more and never stopped chasing the idea of greatness. I bring passion and love for art and not just a rapper chasing money or something like that....I am the definition of an artist and that shows through in everything thing I do.

What do you want to be remembered by?

My art and everything that includes. Music,art, my events,clothing design my way of thinking. I want to be remembered as a person who didn't just fold and decide life was to hard. I want to be remembered as some who took his life and made it a dream! Someone who really lived and made everyday count for something and truly enjoyed life and the opportunities that were givin to me.

I have been creating since a child wasting days drawing and thinking of what life would be for me. In the years to come Ive made over 100 songs with some great artist like "Yelohill" "Kaynin tha Boss" "Raxxx" "King Envy" and many more...With over 200k streams and growing. I'm the creator of Mad Flavor Fest a festival that bring together all the arts music, Comedy, food and street art and the plan is not stopping there. I've started to dabble in acting and plan on making my own movies and opening restaurants. The Ambition is relentless and nobody can take that from me.
