Self-made People Don’t Exist
Do you only thank yourself for your success?

Google says:
“Self-made” describes a person, such as a self-made man or woman, who achieves wealth and success through their own efforts rather than by inheriting money or relying on others’ help.
This term is often exaggerated and misused. Success is a plant that efforts alone cannot grow. The effort is the hope that we use to begin. It is also part of the root, too. Something and someone help to water that effort, allowing it to grow. Everywhere we go, someone can say no. The ones who say yes contribute to your success—the ones who like your ideas and give them space to grow, allowing you to sow your efforts and reap success, are also helping to make you successful.
The help and support you receive is invisible. It takes common sense, awareness, and an understanding of the knowledge that the main ingredient of success is the support you receive, which many on the outside can’t see.
Without water from the rain/life, and humans’ effort, love, and support for you, your efforts, products, plants, and so on, nothing will move. This Spinach leaf shows life. However, there is nothing there to sustain life, preventing it from growing, moving, or achieving success without the help of something or someone. It needs help from someone.

I planted this spinach. I bought it at the market. I remove the leaves and plant the stem in a pot with soil. Then I and life watered it and it grew. I share it with others, just as many share their success with you.

Google also says: The term implies originating from humble beginnings, lacking connections, and demonstrating personal initiative to overcome obstacles and build their fortune or status.
If every door is closed, nothing moves. I could use innovation, creativity, imagination, common sense, money, bribery, and violence, yet the door still refuses to budge.
Every human on the planet has someone to thank for opening a door, a heart, or lending a hand, giving a thought, or consideration that allows for success and growth.
Do you only thank yourself for your success?
Because my list is long, it includes both the good that was done to and for me, as well as the cruelty and thoughtlessness that many shared, hoping I would fail.
Yes, the good done to me strengthens my hope; the harmful fuels and feed my body, mind, heart, and soul, as well as my determination, actions, choices, decisions, ambition, intentions, wants, needs, and reasons to achieve success not only for myself, but for my generation.
So, how can I be self-made when others help to shape who I am?
I thank everyone! You, he, she, they, them, those people, hope, life, the earth, the rain, plants, the food I eat, the clothes I wear, the positive and negative words spoken by others, pain, hunger, sleeplessness, failure, poverty, sacrifices made, wisdom, common sense, my understanding of life, and so much more, made me!
I am still incomplete, because there is so much to learn from life and humanity. If I make one mistake, I will become unmade, and then I would have to remake myself again, with your help and support.
Lol, this is just me ranting when I read about ‘self-made’ people.

Thank you for reading this piece. I hope you enjoyed it.
