The Grave That Screamed

đŸ§© “The first thing a person will be asked about in the grave is Salah...”

Imran Saleh was a bright 25-year-old software engineer. He was brilliant, ambitious, and popular among his colleagues. He had everything a modern young man could want—freedom, friends, financial stability, and followers on social media.

But there was one glaring absence in his life: Salah.

He was born into a religious family. His parents prayed. His grandfather was a hafiz. But Imran, living in the fast lane of the digital world, found no time for prayer.

“It’s old-fashioned,” he would joke with his friends.

“We believe in Allah, that should be enough. Rituals are for the past.”

His friends would laugh. Life moved on.

But one day, it stopped.

Imran died suddenly in a motorcycle accident. A reckless turn at high speed, and his world ended in a second.

The news shocked everyone. His body was buried the next day. Family, friends, colleagues—all came. Some cried. Some prayed. Some posted tributes.

But the real story had just begun.

🕳 The Grave Awakens

That night, Imran’s soul found itself in complete darkness. The grave had closed. He could feel pressure from all sides. No escape.

Suddenly, two terrifying beings appeared—black and white, with voices like rolling thunder. Their names: Munkar and Nakir.

They didn’t smile. They didn’t delay.

They asked:

“Who is your Lord?”

Imran stammered,

“A-Allāh... I believe in Him...”

“What is your religion?”

“Islam... I think... I mean, yes!”

Then came the final, chilling question:

“What did you do about your Salah?”

Silence.

Imran couldn't speak. His throat felt crushed. His heart pounded.

The angels screamed:

“You knew! You heard the Adhan! You had knowledge and health, but you chose to delay, to mock, to sleep through Salah! You neglected the right of your Lord!”

Suddenly, the grave squeezed him until his ribs interlocked. Scorpions and serpents appeared from the darkness, crawling toward him. Flames licked the edge of the soil.

The angels turned away.

“Let him face what he ignored.”

The grave cried. It was asked:

“Did he pray?”

The grave replied:

“He came to me without Fajr, without Dhuhr, without Asr, without Maghrib, without Isha.”

Then the grave screamed in pain and began to crush him further.

From above, the heavens declared:

“Prepare for him a bed from Hellfire and open a window to the Fire.”

A hot wind blew through the grave. Imran screamed. But there was no one to hear. No likes. No followers. No shares.

Only regret.

💔 Meanwhile, in the World...

That same night, his mother dreamed of her son. He stood before her, his body burnt, his eyes hollow.

He whispered:

“Mother... Salah... Salah... I should have listened...”

She woke up screaming.

From that day, she began to pray even more intensely, crying in every sajdah, asking Allah to forgive her son.

📜 Hadith Reference:

The Prophet ï·ș said:

“When a person is placed in his grave and his companions turn away, he hears the sound of their footsteps. Two angels come to him... They ask: 'What did you say about this man (Prophet)?' ... If he was a believer, he answers rightly... If not, he fails...”

— (Bukhari & Muslim)

And the scholars mention:

“If Salah was neglected, the punishment in the grave begins immediately.”

🛑 Reflection:

Imran’s story isn’t just fiction—it is a warning.

We delay Salah for work, for sleep, for entertainment. But death doesn't delay. And in the grave, the first question will not be about your job, your money, or your degrees. It will be about your Salah.
