You Weren’t Buried - You Were Planted

There are moments in life that feel like endings.

The call never comes.

The door slams shut.

The relationship cracks in half.

The silence gets louder.

The light disappears.

And in those moments, it’s easy - so easy - to believe the worst:

That you’ve failed.

That it’s over.

That life has buried you beneath the weight of disappointment and doubt.

But what if I told you:

You were never buried.

You were planted.

Let that sink in.

The Darkness Is Not the End

Imagine being a seed.

You start full of potential. Tiny, but powerful. Then someone pushes you into the dirt. Covers you in cold, damp soil. No sunlight. No air. No applause. Nothing but darkness and pressure.

From the outside, it looks like you’ve been buried.

But something sacred is happening underneath.

The shell begins to crack.

Not because you’re breaking… but because you’re becoming.

Roots begin to stretch downward.

And then… slowly… quietly…

A shoot pushes upward - toward the light.

This is how growth begins.

In the dark.

In silence.

In unseen places.

When Life Goes Silent, Listen Closely

For many of us, our darkest moments have nothing to do with death or danger. They have to do with disorientation.

We lose the roadmap.

We lose the rhythm.

We lose the identity we used to wrap ourselves in.

It feels like we’re being punished.

But in truth, we’re being prepared.

The reason the pain feels personal is because something sacred is shifting. We are no longer who we were. And we’re not yet who we’re becoming.

We’re between forms.

We’re in the soil.

Pain Is Not Proof of Failure

We live in a culture that worships the visible:

📈 Results

🏆 Recognition

✨ Validation

💬 Applause

But growth doesn’t start with noise.

It starts with pressure.

With stillness.

With cracks that make way for new strength.

Pain is not proof you’ve failed.

It’s often the first sign that transformation has begun.

You don’t rebuild your life in the spotlight.

You rebuild in the shadows.

You rediscover your voice in silence.

You reconnect with your power when you’ve got nothing left to prove.

The person you’re becoming will cost you the comfort of who you used to be. And that’s okay.

The Power of Reframing

Here’s the truth:

The same event can bury you or plant you.

The difference?

How you frame it.

Reframing is the art of taking the same facts - and changing the meaning.

Buried = Forgotten, Over, Done

Planted = Prepared, Becoming, Rooted

You don’t get to choose every storm.

But you do get to choose the story you tell yourself about it.

And the story shapes your survival.

So instead of asking, “Why is this happening to me?”

Try asking:

“What is this growing inside of me?”

You Are Rooting Now

Right now, someone reading this is in their “soil season.”

You feel stuck.

You feel lost.

You feel behind.

Let me speak directly to you:

You are not behind.

You are not broken.

You are not done.

You are rooting.

And roots are messy, slow, and silent.

But they are essential.

Without roots, there is no rise.

Without pressure, there is no power.

Without darkness, the light has no contrast.

Tactical Steps to Rise From the Soil

If you’re in a dark place, here’s what to do next:

  1. Pause: Stop the panic spiral. Breathe. You are safe. You are in process.
  2. Reframe: Say it out loud: “This is not my grave. This is my greenhouse.”
  3. Feed Your Soil: Read books that lift you. Journal. Rest. Hydrate. Create. Nourish.
  4. Take One Micro-Action: You don’t have to bloom in a day. But water yourself. Move an inch.
  5. Find a Light Source: Whether it’s a friend, a mentor, or a dream—orient toward hope.
  6. Let Time Work Its Magic: Growth is quiet. Then sudden. Be patient. The seed never blooms on day one.

You Are Becoming

Every forest started with a seed.

Every movement started with a moment of stillness.

Every strong soul was once broken open in darkness.

So don’t curse the season you’re in.

You are not buried.

You are planted.

And what’s coming?

Will be worth every silent second underground.

When you rise - and you will -

You’ll look back and realize:

That was never the end.

It was always the beginning.

🌱 Keep going. Keep growing.

Your bloom is on the way.

If this spoke to your soul, share it. Someone else is in the dark right now… thinking it’s over. Be their light. 💡
