Candy For Andy

A Goats Story

By Jennifer Christine ClarkPublished 6 years ago 3 min read
Andy's boat

There once was a goat and he loves to sail his boat. His name is Andy and he likes candy. From chocolates to lollipops, and gummies to licorice. Even marshmallows are a sugary treat. Even goats get a sweet tooth.

On his boat, he sat in his captain's seat and looked at his candy jar which was almost empty so far. He thought about what he wanted and decided that he wanted many different kinds.

Andy also thought about his friends. He hadn't talked or seen them in a month. He missed his friends a lot. I will go to land, buy my candy and visit my friends. Andy thought to himself. So Andy grabbed the wheel and headed to land.

As Andy neared land, he saw the store on the shore. The shore was full of sand and had a musical band. He loved music, especially jazz. There was something about jazz that had such pizazz.

Listening to the band always brought joy to Andy, while the instruments were glistening as they played. He began to dance even though he couldn't bust a move. Andy didn't care and took the chance.

He was having so much fun, that he continued dancing even after the music was done. Everyone in the room joined in and were enjoying themselves. The band started playing again and everyone continued dancing. Andy looked around and smiled to himself. He was glad that everyone was enjoying themselves.

As Andy walked off, He saw his friends sitting at the table and walked over. At their table was bowls of candy. He greeted them and sat down. Andy took some candy and ate them. As he observed, he saw his friend Gwen the hen. She loved socializing. Then he saw Pat the fat rat. He was so fat that cat with the hat stayed away. Realizing why the cat with the hat stayed away, Andy chuckled to himself.

There was a horse of course and his name was Morse. He loved to race and it could be seen on his face. He was good at that sport. He would run around the track for fun when he wasn't competing. Plus it is a great way to get exercise. Morse always liked the freedom running brings.

Mr. Capricorn was a unicorn, and he likes to blow his horn. He took that horn everywhere he went. He sometimes played in the band when they needed an extra hand. He was always so happy to see Andy. They were best friends. Andy always enjoyed his friends when they meet. Other times, they pass and greet. Whenever Andy was in town, that is. Of course they talk on the phone, but it's not the same as if they were meeting.

As time passed by, Andy remembered why he came to the shore. He wanted candy, so he got up to go to the store. He didn't want to go, but it was getting late. He waved to his friends, and they waved back. As he thought about his day, he thought about how lucky he was to have such wonderful friends.

When Andy entered the store, he saw all the candy he could ever want and more. He looked at each one carefully. There were chocolates, gummies, licorice, peppermints, marshmallows, and lollipops. There were hot candies, sour candies, candy apples, caramel, and sticky candies.

Andy wanted everything, so he bought five pieces of every candy he could choose. While he was there, he decided to get some drinks as well. With candy and drinks in the bag that he didn't want to loose. He thought about eating the candy and satisfying his sweet tooth.

He exited the store on the shore, and walked back to his boat where it was afloat. When he looked up, he saw Gwen the hen, the fat rat named Pat, the cat with the hat, and Mr. Capricorn, the unicorn. Now he had enough candy and drinks for his friends, this goat on his boat. He sailed away to his favorite place he and his friends love to hang out.
