“The Total Eclipse is coming soon!
We can’t see it here, though
We can only see 95%.”
Close enough.
“No it isn’t!
95% is not 100%!”
“We can go here:
This spot on the map
Called Tupper Lake, New York.”
It’s 5 hours away!
“I know.
Will you go with me?
I’ll drive.”
You want to drive
5 hours
To get another 5%?
“Yes!
95% is not 100%.”
Are you sure?
Are you sure it’s worth
A 5 hour drive?
“Yes.
95% is not 100%.”
Is it really that important?
Does it really matter?
Yes.
Yes it does.
So we drove.
And drove.
Through tiny towns.
Through miles and miles of
Nothing but miles and miles.
5 hours.
We sit in a field
With thousands of others
Who also thought
It was worth it.
“Here we go!”
It is
Awe-striking
Humbling
Inspiring
Exciting
Terrifying
Ominous
Radiant
Unbelievable
Phenomenal.
It is
The most moving
Soul-touching
Magical
Extraordinary
Once-in-a-lifetime
Moment
I have ever experienced
In a lifetime full of
Amazing experiences.
Is is
Absolutely
Worth it!
Because
As a wise man said,
“95% is not 100%.”

Trouble at the Tea Leafing Café
The rain had started right around the time that Annie was buttering her second thick slice of homemade toast for breakfast, and hadn’t paused since. Not that anyone could tell. The windows of the café were fogged over, and with every seat filled with happy customers munching on fresh baked pastries or steaming bowls of the delicious soup of the day, it was hardly surprising.
