A few thousand words
We are on this journey alone, but surely we can be alone together.
I can write a poem with the thousand words we shared
A thousand loves that have already been made
A thousand times our lips parted and joined
A thousand evenings that feel like warm honey
A thousand mistakes and a thousand understandings
But I cannot write with the few you left me
One future without you
One world we are meant to share
One love I am meant to move on from
I need more words, please

A Love Forboding
The chipped stone slope caused unbearable footing. I slid, skirting on my heels. I cast my shield, relinquishing my guard to stay upright. Left with my double-edge and a prayer to the maker, I skated toward my objective. The earthly stubble gave way to solid ground. I found myself restored, a trail of dust in my wake.
