A Garden of Ego
Never Hate
The room was lit by barely beams
Shining through the window
If they matched the streams of thought
Worries would glare back
The yearning of the widow
Narrow straight
Never hate
A formidable persuasion
Peace be lively
Peace be good
I never knew I was a situation
Only ego rampages
So to quiet the spirit ignore that
Stay out of the way
Reach or appeal only to the super of egos
Because a garden of one will never reach back
The growth just meets itself in the middle
It never sways
Ego is not vanity
It's the forefront of our thoughts
Think too much?
From higher mind comes the piece of reasoning
Am I troubled?
Am I doubtful?
Don't worry I'm a poet and forever thankful
So there's nothing I can't get over
Don't worry I'm a mystic and
No need to explain then
When reality startles
I yearn for the fresh swell of waves
Where what matters more
Where shaking, I can count through a looking glass
From heights higher than ever before

Rachel Reviews: Lunch Tales: Teagan by Lucille Guarino
Well, I did enjoy this! Sometimes, all you need is just great storytelling and this is what Lucille Guarino delivers here. There's no big message to this book; it's just about folks and families, living their lives and coping with everything that's being thrown at them and finding their way. But when it's done well, like it is here, then you have characters to whom you can relate, tension which leaves you rooting for a better outcome, attraction which has your heart racing and an urge, as a reader, to see the characters happy with the people with whom they belong.
