A holiday skeptic

Challenge of the norms

By Salomé SaffiriPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

"-Did the commercialization get to you?"

You have always practiced your preaching-

"-No need for a holiday to celebrate our love".

But also no flowers on the "off" days

Because flowers are not "love".

So here I am- flowerless, candyless

Surrounded by the

red commercialized opportunities

to declare your love

About the Creator

Salomé Saffiri

Writing - is my purpose. I feel elated when my thoughts assume shapes, and turn into Timberwolves, running through the snowbound planes of fresh paper, leaving the black ink of their paw prints behind.
