A life thats more then enough

I know words don't stack as high as actions,

And you learn new meanings to them every day,

But just in this last month,

Theres a few things I want to say,

With you, nothing has felt like guessing,

Reassurance doesn't come after questions,

Only understanding you a little bit more,

Matter of fact, impeccably calm,

With you, there are no alarms,

The bones to our foundation feel promising,

Not in a potential kind of way,

In a calm understanding,

Not someone I could have found,

But someone who makes sense of me now,

I don't feel the need to change or earn your affection,

We have similar dreams, a life chasing connection,

I find myself smiling, while acknowledging our differences,

Not perfect, yet caressed within our values and interests,

Its so new, but not too scary,

Not rushed, our intentions glaring,

You enter the room with calmness to my chaos,

Logic to my wondering mind,

With you, I see stability mixed with spontaneity,

Enough to experience in a lifetime,

I see my heart crushing on your mind, The way it processes,

The way you look at me with your eyes,

Opposites with similar dreams,

knowing when to be serious,

and when to be silly,

I don't feel the need to lock you down,

make you realize why you should fall for me,

Because that is something I never had to force you to see,

With you, its never been you or me, its always an us,

Finding our way where care turns into trust,

Through easy banter and laughs,

Our individual vulnerabilities and questions asked,

The safety that is forming within your arms,

Where masculinity meets gentle charm,

Not easily earned, but I'm remembering how to learn,

What it is to feel hopeful, to feel safe,

Feel like maybe a home, could be more then a place,

I live a life that is so rich, but there are times where it has felt lonely,

I had forgotten what it felt like to have someone care to know me, to hold me,

To find comfort in our presence,

and excitement in the big and small achievements,

Sharing a meal, time well spent,

A partner in the person I have become,

and maybe a person I could someday love,

To add to what I am not,

and to dream up a little life plot,

Because with you, well, with us,

Life could feel like more then enough.
