A Rite that Begins After it is Reached

We rose towards the light.

Beasts (Royals, Sovereigns, Kings) that ruled without coronation.

We fell when it became too bright.

-

It was our right! As you feel it is your right.

What else could it mean through our (prominent-purposeful-powerful) creation?

We rose towards the light.

-

And by the Gods (Us. Us. All of Us) we reached our great height.

Stories shined in our eyes, the beginnings of a constellation.

We fell when it became too bright.

-

Even given with all our might. . .

Giants to breadcrumbs made of ashes (so many ashes) after the cremation.

We rose towards the light.

-

The light you gave because curiosity (bow, bow, and pray) is your rite.

Gods coffin's exposed after excavation.

We fell when it became too bright.

-

(Us; you; them) What will be next to ignite?

Distant or not your bones, bones, many bones will be read as a narration.

We rose towards the light.

We fell when it became too bright.

Villanelle

A very interesting construction and format here! Definitely takes the reader out of complacency and stretches figurative limbs. A great job here and congratulations on the top story!

I still don't get Villanelles, great job on it here (I think). I like the cremation and the rising towards the light references...unique. Well done.

  • This was extremely powerful! You executed this Villanelle brilliantly!
