A WISH FOR RETREAT

Back To Childhood

A WISH FOR RETREAT

Life and death are the two sides of the same coin,

One is full of struggle, the other has a peaceful poise;

Life is beautiful, and gives a memorable treat,

Though fearful, death offers a happy retreat.

It takes you back to childhood once again,

Away from all the worries, anxieties and pain;

The glow of innocence will shine on your face,

You will be in God's graceful space.

I want to make a retreat to my childhood,

In the celestial glow of God, aloof from worldlihood;

I would be again in the lap of my mother,

Safe from evils under her pious care.

It would be the beginning of the second race,

My angel infancy with white thought at first pace;

The pleasures of childhood will sing again

The glories of divinity without refrain.

I would enjoy some shadows of eternity,

And have a glimpse of His face at a close proximity,

Till I hurt the soul of others with an invisible wound,

With worldly influences and my harsh sound.
