Adult Holidays

holiday poem

By Samantha SmithPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Children running to the fireplace,

Parents gazing fondly with arms linked,

Snow spilling from bright fluffy clouds

Divorce splinters imagined pictures,

Adulthood dulls the colors,

Real cheer comes with effort,

With the joy of finding the perfect gift,

Of finally gathering the family,

Holiday cheer isn’t easy,

But’s it’s worth it.
