And so I said

Why not dream big?

You'll only wind up dead.

Life is meaningless,

and,

It's all in your head.

So why not dare to be great?

What's the point with no goal to sate?

No mountain to climb,

No saving bell to chime.

Wrought and wroth,

Fiendish and famished,

Humanity is but a beast tamed by circumstance -

With no purpose but to take a stance.

It takes one to know one,

and the truth is a bitter pill to swallow.

We grasp at the flames and fan the embers;

While cursing ashes in which we wallow.

But it only takes a spark to light a fire,

And something great may yet emerge from the pyre.

So light one up for the lost and forgotten strays -

Be it a torch, a candle,

Or a viking funeral for bygone ways.

If nothing matters in the end,

Why sit idle while others are forced to bend?

That's the power of nihilism:

No need to worry about the cataclysm.

If nothing matters, anything can matter,

And you are free to ignore the chatter.

Create your world, dream your dreams,

And you can become the light that beams.

And so I said,

Strive to brighten the world around you,

And everything else will fall into place.
