Zephyrus and Hyacinthus. Tales of the greek gods

Zephyrus, gentle western wind,
For Hyacinthus’ love did pine.
But Apollo’s warmth did shine more bright,
And cast Zephyrus in jealous night.
A discus thrown by godly hand,
Was twisted by the wind’s command.
It struck the youth, and life did fade,
In flowered bloom his blood was laid.
Apollo’s tears, forever cast,
Would honor love that could not last.
