Another Weird Teenager

☺︎

By Published about a year ago 1 min read

She's just another weird teenager

with multiple personality disorder,

From faking a smile

to crying at night

feeling butterflies that don't feel nice

She's afraid of something that can't be explained

tearing her apart and melting her away.

She doesn't shine the way

like she used to;

She lost spark

in her eyes too.

Hiding behind her addictions

that anxiety made her do;

She lost many people,

including herself too.

She appears to be okay,

but needs a peer to say

it's okay to not be okay.

Smiling on the outside

suffering on the inside,

she does it all while faking a smile.

Her laugh is noisy

but the cry is noiseless.

She is harmless to others

but harmful to herself.

She doesn't judge others,

the way she judges herself,

she sees the good in everything

except in herself.

She feels worthless,

don't value herself

treats herself like shit

but wants to be perceived as perfect.

she makes effort

to seem effortless

but who's gonna tell her?

that she is just perfect!

Isolating from the world she lives in,

escaping reality, living in her daydream.

nothing pleases her anymore,

even her hobbies don't release dopamine like before

making her feel useless and lonely even more.

Intrusive thoughts flooded her mind,

she's been drowning in that flood,

while faking a smile.

It's not easy to lift yourself up,

but maybe someone can lift you

if you open up.

Yeah I know, it's not easy to open up

but trust me, it's easier than giving up.

Maybe a little support can lift you

and a little light can guide you.

maybe a little hand can get you through it all

and a little love

can flourish a life within you once again.
